HCG and mood swings. Need some advice on my situation

Good day forum,

I have been taking HCG for the past 2 and a half weeks (No TRT Test but straight HCG). 100 -120 IU's Mon/Wen/Fri. I took this dosage to make sure E2 doesn't skyrocket too high. Erections are on point and mood was great because it was working for me. However, over this past weekend my mood has changed. For some reason I was a little pissed off about a family issues. Cursing at the slightest little things. Angry things aren't going my way and worst of all erections aren't as fast as there were. (Have to use more stimulation to get erect.)

No sore nipples of Gyno
Relatively healthy 37 year old male

Has my E2 crept up to high that could be causing mood swings?
Do I need to lower my dose down to 70-80 IUs of HCG Mon/Wen/Fri?
Or is my mood swings and my recent poor outlook and attitude causing my slow to get up erections?

Advice would be appreciated,
JJ5012

We don't have enough information to help you. Are you Hypogonadal? If so which type? Let's see your blood work. How long have you been on this low dose of hCG? Why are you taking it?

I believe I am secondary Hypogonadal. Before I started the HCG two weeks ago I been off TRT test cyp (100mm E7D's) since April. I started TRT 4 years ago due to lab work and approval fro doctor. I was 33 at the time and my TT was in the low 320-330 range. 2 weeks ago I wanting to give HCG a try. TRT when I was on never brought back health erections at all. My erections were always manufactured by Cialis/Viagra/PT-141.

Metabolic labs were good
No diabetes
Healthy Kidneys and liver enzymes (GFR and etc....)
Elevated cholesterol but nothing scary.
(Megatron28 I can send you my lab work through personal message if your interested.)

I know my LH and FSH numbers were low according to doc. In the 2 and 3's. I know my LH and FSH numbers are not what it once was and won't have the numbers I had in my 20's as life goes forward from here. I wanted to bring back some life (Erections) and I felt HCG was my answer.

I have done all this to bring back my sex life. That's all I want back more than anything.

I don't get why you stopped TRT? What do you hope to accomplish by running a very low dose of hCG? Did you get blood work before you started the hCG?

I'm really confused. None of what you are doing makes any sense.

So your goal is to improve your sex life? Who told you to try HCG monotherapy at that low dose?

You are playing a guessing game without getting comprehensive blood work , before, during and after making any changes. Getting dialed in with TRT is probably a better option for your goal. This may also include HCG 2x per week with your TRT.

If and when I do go back to TRT It is a must I get a Phlebotomy order signed by my doc to remove blood 4 times a year. Taking TRT without that isn't healthy so... When the time comes that action needs to fall in line. Won't be taking TRT without it.

I remember in the past taking 250IU's of HCG 2 times a week.(Mon/Thur) Erections were great for about a week or so and then the erections stopped happening. Too much E2 build up. If I do need to take a higher does of HCG 2 times a week its got to be with an AI. Lab work will obviously help with finding the right balance.

I recently graduated form a University (Returning student btw) When things are in order for my job wise. I can get back to dialing in TRT and HCG with Doc and labs.

You don't need a prescription for a phlebotomy. Just go donate blood at the Red Cross or any similar organization. You can do it every 56 days. But even if you didn't do phlebotomies, I would be surprised if your hematocrit actually reached dangerous levels.

You may not need an AI on hCG-monotherapy. Your TT and E2 may not be getting that elevated. You need blood work though to find out.

Have you considered running clomid? hCG is suppressive to your HPTA since it mimics LH. Clomid isn't suppressive so your estradiol would be more likely to stay in balance.

But if you really needed TRT none of this is likely to do much for you. Going back on TRT would be your best bet. It doesn't cost much if you go through your GP.
