I am making rice and turkey/chicken the main meal in my diet, going to eat it a few times daily. The amounts are nothing gives me about 50g of protein and a nice amount of carbs and solid cals. The only thing is I hate the dryness to it. Anyone have cheap gravy ideas for it? Hell under 30 bucks for 3 chickens, 15lb turkey and 20lbs of rice, now I just need something to wet it up a bit.

oyster sauce is relaly nice with chicken and rice..and by the way oyster sauce has nothing to do with fish taste its similar to soyer sauce ive been having it with my chicken and rice the past week makes it much more enjoyable to eat, almost makes me blow a load some days

Ill have to look into the oyster sauce, it sounds like a good idea. Its a matter of moisture and flavor. Just dry and bland to me. Gonna check out sams club and see if I can get just a gallon of beef gravy or something also. Keep the ideas comin boys.

Salsa

OR

My favourity is to BBQ and nice big steak.
Place a layer of rice on your plate and place the steak directly on the rice.
Eat the steak.
The rice when then have all the steak juices... awesome flavour, nice and moist.

teriyaki sauce, marinades, onions(white, red, sweet, green), vegetables, tomatoes, spices(coriander, cumin, parsley, pepper).... the list goes on. dont be afraid to experiment with flavors. just watch the sodium.

boredom will lead to stagnation.

put apple juice in a spray bottle and when cooking your chicken spray it on their!...plus dont cook on the george foreman, buy a propane grill much better tasting and very quick! as far as the rice goes i cant help you, i think plain brown rice is deliciouso! but if i didntlike it id do what easto says.

Lots of great ideas that you guys posted. I love the salsa on rice. I will cook my rice most of the time with low sodium chicken broth or stock in place of water. If I am eating chicken or steak with it, I will use Heinz 57 or some other sauce, and I will pour a little on top, but the key is, a little.

You can always use Molly McButter. Gives your rice a nice butter taste without the real thing. A Coleman favorite. He says he eats it right up to the day of the show.

white rice is bad for you.

eat brown rice. if you add enough water to the rice cooker, it will turn out very tasty and moist.

if you disagree, shut the fuck up, unless you've lived in asia for more than 10 years. (oh, did i mention rice makes you go crazy??)
