I am having a hard time getting my diet correct. I started lifting and had great results up to a certain point, where they stopped. I started lifting at 6'2 155 pounds, very skinny. In 6 months, i gained 17lbs which left me at 162 give or take a pound. After this no matter how hard i trained i cound't gain weight. Then i realised that my diet was not near what it should be and i was not eating enoguh beign that i skipped breakfast and ate lunch and dinner only. I have tried a few diets and they usually last a day or so but its so hard to cram that much food down in a day. I would like to get some steady gains and am willing to do what it takes but was wondering if there is an approx amount of protein and calories that i need to start seeing some results. As of now, i probably consume around 100-150 grams of protein a day, and around 1,200 calories, all clean, from tuna, and chicken breast, that is what my meals consist of mainly. I am a college student and money is somewhat tight, so maybe i will need to wait a while, because it seems very expensive to start these 4,000 calorie a day 300 gm protien diets..? any help would be greatly appreciated and i am not asking for someone to spoon feed me, just wondering what kind of results others have seen from different amounts of calories, protein etc.
