Heres the start to the fish post.
This shot is of all speckle trout. the biggest is 26"
i do a long portage into Algonquin park every year around May 8th. the fishing is great out there but it takes the whole day to get there about 22km into the bush.
the lake is called Welcome lake. i'll add more pics later.
lets see and hear about your trips. i know we have some fishermen and maybe some ladies that fish to.

I do them a few ways.
I will fillet them down and fry them in honey lemon mix. or just fry them up and add the meat to rice. wraped in tin foil and baked over the fire.
Theres a sauce this one guy brought his wife made. it was spicey hot really good. we also use the fish crisp. When we get drunk or baked they all taste good.

Damn bro, 22Km, do you guys ATV up there? That is a real fishing trip right there. Set up camp and get fucked up at night, thats my kind of trip. lol.

This is last year at Lewis River, bout 20 miles north of Vancouver in WA. The spot is awesome, fun as hell too. See the bag in the background? thats about 5 lbs of salmon eggs, I can make some kickass caviar. Believe dat. That stuff is sooooo good on toast, bagels, hell I can eat it with a spoon all day. I fucken love it. The salmon we marrinated in some homemade terriyaki sauce my Asian buddies made (those dudes don't fuck around when it comes to fish/fishin) man, delicious.

Fish thread....AWESOME!

maybe share some recipes cooking ideas?

no atv's at all. u have the first lake that takes 2hrs to paddle and then a 750meter portage to the next lake then 2-2.5 hours to cross the lake to the next portage of 500m up hill and the a river to paddle and then a 3k portage to welcome lake. its not all hiking mosley paddleing. 1st night is always steak to eat and then some rye with a bowl of green.

AM thas some nice lookin fish. i love salmon fishing also. the way u guys cook em sound damn good.
when you do up the eggs do u brine them in salt water first? i've never done it myself but i have eaten and like caviar.

Thats awesome man, I got a lot of family in the WA and OR area. I look forward every year to goin out on trips like that. We do it big, bring a small honda generator, music player, and a PA speaker with us. Next year, supposed to go to Alaska for a week. Can't wait!

Start heating up water in a pot with a raw egg inside. Slowly stir the water and slowly keep adding salt untill the egg floats to the top. Take the water off the heat, take the egg out and put in the fish eggs. Stir them slow for a few mins. drain and SHAZZAM, caviar. Don't touch it till it cools down. I think it even tastes better the next day or the following, however it doesn't usually last that long lol.

going for the reds up there?
i had one of my dealers invite me to go for a week trip next year. i've been looking into renting an RV for the trip and staying right at the river. here some more pics

OH yeah, Dude cleaning the eggs is a real bitch! That shit takes hours if u got like a few pounds. U have to carefully separate each egg from the membrane shit without crushing them. Once u do it a few times u get quicker, but its still a bitch. But Damn worth it.

Yeah, I like Boca Grande, Its a nice size shallow inlet and there are a shit load of reds, big ones, 30-34". Its not far from my house, my brother and I try to go there when ever we can.

i'll be trying that for sure. thanks for the tip bro. i'll have to have bowl to keep the patience level good so i can clean the eggs. lol
sounds like you have some dam good trips also. i don't know why more people are not doing this sort of thing.
get out in the bush make some caviar smoke some blunts and pig out on the goods.lol
