... It seems as though you have caught the powerlifting bug. Do you still have interests in competing in figure shows as well?

what you doing is working. after julie gets back from her try outs id definately suggest training with her a couple times per week anyway. travis puts her thru it. she is a stud sho nuff. and like yourself drop dead gorgeous. i was in heaven talking to both of yall at the same time. shes full of energy jes like you.

hahah julie and kara are my idols... and you are wonderful ;) i enjoyed talking with ya- hopefully we can meet up at east coast and catch a workout. i got EXTREMELY pissed off b/c some dude on the monstermuscle forum seemed to be talking shit on the meet we held. chris himself got on there and talked some sense into him. everything's fine now, but he sure got some people riled up lol...

Just so you know people are getting a little irritated at lifts being passed, what someone benches is not indicative of weather or not they know the rules. Mendys latest lift, if the rules i have heard are correct, should have been redlighted. So now thier is, Mendys 918, Gene's 965, and even crawfords last lifts people are very questionable about. I know the rules of baseball front to back, yet i can't play it worth a lick anymore. You should really expect people to be skeptical of lifts done in unsanctioned meets. Now that being said, chris seems like he is going to give some big numbers here a run pretty soon. He also bombed out I beleive in his last meet a short time ago, because he couldn't get his lifts in the 900's to touch.

joe, chris did bomb his last meet. it was the arnold and he had the flu. he opened with 815 and just didnt have it that day. he had just hit a good 805 a few weeks before that at a meet we all did together. he's one of the nicest guys youll meet.

this meet was a fund raiser for disabled kids. just some folks getting together for a good cause. they raised over 1100 bucks too. everyone lifted raw and it was loosely called as it was for fun. there were several raw benches over 500, touch and go. i had a great time as did everyone in attendance. great atmosphere, loud music, hot babes, big benches, what more can a guy ask.

chris benched shirted as a guest lifter. he got paid nothing and knew the lifts would not count towards any records, he dd this out of the kindness of his heart for a chaity, risking injury. plus his hand off man wasnt available. travis, kyle and myself did a 3 man hand off. his reg hand off guy is 6'4" and about 360lbs solid. after two warm ups of 750 and 850 we loaded 925. he touched it and locked it out with a press command. the 1005 was the same but he just couldnt lock it out. very close.

chris has benched over 9 several times in the gym and attempted over a a few times, he came very close to locking out 1015 a few weeks ago.

we have some outstandinglifters in NC. im honored to train/compete with these guys and gals. even at my age its still a lot of fun.

minx i saw the slam at MM forum and that guy was there and said he couldnt get a clear view but still opened his pie hole. it was not a sanctioned meet but he acted like it should have been called tighter. he ended up appologizing to chris.

its perturbing to me when guys who cant bench 405 raw want to critique big time lifters. it seems to be the trend on boards now a days. that is exactly what happened on the MM board by this john prophet guy.

this is why mule got out of powerlifting too. he got tired of it, too many wanna be's who dont even comptete trying to act like they know everything. its sad.

I completely understand the situation, i am not knocking anyone and it was great what you guys did. It just seems their have been alot of questionable lifts passed recently and alot of people think it is getting rediculous. I think Chris may have got an undeserved backlash from some of it. And, ask chris next time you see him, but i think he bombed out of a meet a few weeks ago, i remember him reading on monstermuscle he was having trouble touching in the ultimate. But i read the weights were flying. That shirt is a bitch.

thougt that was in training. he benched in a stock dbl rage x open last weekend

there have always been and always be lifts that get turned down that should have passed and vice versa. its called human error. but thats why we use three judges. its not prefect nor ever will be. just like the nba, nfl, mlb or any sport for that matter. its just the way it is. 2 white lights and the lift is good. not the lifters fault if it gets passed when it shouldnt have. so why bash the lifters.

mendy smoked 904 at the seniors but it got redlighted becuse he racked it before the rack command. he locked it out no prob. it would have passed anywhere anytime if he waited just one more second for the rack command. he said he heard the command. maris said she never gave it. in the gym the lift is good all day. i never have had 904 at arms length. i dont know what was going thru his mind. i saw the video of the 915 and it looked good to me. what was wrong with it too you? in fact at the seniors he held it locked out for at least as long as he did in his 915. next time i see maris ill ask her why she never gave the rack command. i think she wants me anyway, her and her majic wand. :D

Spotter guided the weight down. It seems to be pretty unanimous everywhere i read that it should have been redlighted. I have more of a problem with people lifting in their own meets and judges being scared to redlight them.

praise be to you boys who push that BIG SSHIT!or even know people who do!far be it for me or any other person to critize anybody who even gets under that much weight!they got my vote and i dont care what happened.people like yall are other wordly to me!

moe didnt guide the weight down. he made sure his lifter was safe. he hands off that way everytime. he did the same at the seniors which wasnt his own meet and his own judges. his 881 got passed no prob.

how many meets you been too joe? how many you competed in? once again you state what you have read instead of what you have experienced.

the comments you have made regarding powerlifters and the lack of respect you have shown for the guys you train with have caused me to lose all respect for you. once you have competed in a few meets then your critisms may carry some merit. but for now they dont.

Hey hey
come on lets all get along!!!!!

what were arguing is stupid..its one thing to defend your own lifts, fine but lets not fight over someone elses..

lets go you 2 kiss and make up now
you both are an asset to this board and i dont want to see one of you go because of this stupidity... :spank:
