HGH test .01 Doctor not sure what to do me either! Advice?

I asked my doctor to test my HGH level so he did. The test results he says are .01. He told me that based on the normal range my levels were low. He said he was not very familiar with this but that he was going to research it. I told him I have read about some other people who shared. Their experiences after being on therapy with HGH and it sounded wonderfull to me. I told him they said they sleep better and feel younger and that they are able to shed more body fat and it improves many things overall. I asked my pharmacist tonight to see if she could provide my do with some info on this. I told my wife if This works like I've read it could be a miracle for me to feel younger. Does anyone have any experience with this they could share? Any tips? I'm quite serious about it I think it could really help me feel better and get better results from exercise! Me and the doc no nothing about dosages or anything. I can tell he wants to help but is concerned and he actually is asking me what I have learned from my research. I told him everyone who writes about it says it helped them. Talk to me please? Thank you!

I have had experience with this. It all sounds great, but don't jump the gun. The test for HGH your doctor did does not sound like the one which is needed to show a deficiency. (Most insurance won't pay for HGH unless there is a medical need, and proving this is difficult for the normal aging process.) HGH from the pharmacy with a doctors script is crazy expensive.

Get your complete bloods done and see where everything is at, including CBC, Testosterone (free and total), SHBG, Thyroid Panel, Cortisol, DHEA, Estradiol, Homosysteine, PSA, IGF1, Lipid Panel, LH and FSH.

Most guys use TRT in conjunction with HGH if it can be afforded. Most on here just use TRT to achieve your listed desired results. Get your blood work done and find a DOC who know hormone therapy and will help you.

Best of luck!!

You wrote most guys use HGH in conjunction with HRT. I am on HRT. Most of the tests you listed I've had done. What test specifically will prove I need HGH if I really do? My doc is young and he wants to help so if I need this he will help me we just need some more info and I'm studying. What has worked for others? What test? What was your levels which required treatment for HGH? When and how is the test administered? What was the dose prescribed? As mentioned the I had said .01 if this is not THE test what is? I'll read more on results when I print them at work today and read them. I have sleep apnea so I may not be producing gh when I sleep. Let me know what you know please? Thanks!

It would be best to post the test results you have with reference ranges. Also include your stats - age height weight body fat, current conditions (like apnea).

Have you had a testosterone test? What are your levels? Low T can cause all sorts of issues - fatigue weight gain thyroid issues. Correcting low T will usually correct all the aforementioned issues, except apnea. I assume you are over weight ?

Doctor is not gomma give you hgh and insurance definitely wint give you any. Its easy to get hgh go to any anti-aging clinic but be prepared to do gay for pay at the rate they sell it.

Doctor didn't tell me no but he did say he was researching. I'm not giving up I've read about others who have been treated and have had good results. If they can I can! Can't never got a nobody anywhere! I agree it may be difficult to get the insurance to pay up but first I have to determine if there is a need to be prescribed that is legit. Low levels mean something. I'll share my results and maybe there will be some positive feedback!!?!

Not sure what you mean by be prepared to do gay for pay at the rate they sell it. The doctor may prescribe it others have had it prescribed to them. You're a bit younger than I am so that may make a difference between you and I. An open mind can lead to possibilities. I'm still hopeful for insurance to cover the cost and my Dr to support me.

You may want to contact IMT staff on here, his name is actually Todd. They are a board rep and do a ton of TRT and peptide programs. Not sure if they do HGH directly but I know for sure they do the GH releasing peptides, it isn't super cheap but they aren't unfair either.

It's not very likely that your insurance would cover the HGH anyway so with that said IMT may be a better option anyway. From my understanding, and talking to my insurance company before - they tend to only cover this for people who have an abnormal pituitary gland or some type of genetic disorder where HGH is needed to function. Could be wrong tho and maybe your insurance is super cool, but just saying.

Maybe it's a bunch of hype. I don't know! After reading the results that others shared online regarding gh I had to get mine checked. I'll just keep studying for now and roll with the flow. I'm not sure what questions to even ask other than will this be good for me? Sounds like I need to study more about it first. Any info. I'll read up if shared. Thank you.

I was swamped all day long at work so couldn't access test results to share. I think I said I would do that today so wanted to reply that I was too busy to do it coworkers went home left me to cover all by myself but will try to get the test posted tomorrow maybe someone can tell me what it means. I'll try myself to understand it first but when reading rough it to me it just didn't make much sense. Thank you

Apparently I know NOTHING! Look at labs please!

I have attempted to attach my labs so I hope that they are visible.. Currently taking 1MG tablet of Arimadex per week.
.8 ML of Test Cyp and just lowered that to .5 to try to get my Hematocrit and Hemaglobin down.
I don't understand how I had a T level of 119 so I started HRT again and 1ML took my level to 1,900. Now I lowered the dose to .8 and my levels are in the 900 range but my hematocrit and Hemoglobin and E2 are all high.
I need to figure this out before worrying too much about the GH level being .01.. I'm 6'1, 267 pounds, 43 yrs old.. Body fat at around 30% I think.. I'm trying to get the labs to read correctly by doing the right thing apparently I'm not! Sorry to be a pain but advice is needed.

Apparently I need to go give blood? If you have the experience please advise because apparently I'm doing things all wrong and all the reading I have done I have discovered I dont know diddly!!! Please advise if you really have the experience to tell me anything based on the attached labs....! Thank you.

Reducing your test dose isn't going to lower your hematocrit. You're also sitting at a good level at 900. I suggest keeping your .8 dose. You need to give blood. You also probably need an ai now as your body fat is high. Once you lose weight you may be able to drop the ai.

Your HCT is the highest I've ever seen.... do you have any symptoms from it? Tingling hands and feet?

You really need to get that down, you've probably already heard that. You're probably too high to donate (BTW HCG is not on the FDA deferred medication list - must be a rule specific to your blood bank).

Please keep us posted.

EDIT: actually, can you elaborate on how exactly you found out that hcg made you ineligible to donate? thanks.

Are you taking a single 1mg tab of arimidex per week? If so you should look at splitting that up into at least two doses. The half life of arimidex is only about 48 hours.

Your blood test may not be representative of your E2 levels through the week.

THANK YOU FOR THE RESPONSE! After some additional studying I've decided to break my dose up into two injections per week and see if that helps
with labs. Also decided to sit down and do more intensive math based on prior labs and see how I got from there to here and that should provide me with additional information and enable me to hopefully dial things in to read at a more comfortable level..

I went last night to give blood and everything stopped when the lady asked me what medications I took and one of the responses I gave was HCG.. She told me that I could not give blood for a year after my last injection of HCG.... Now have to find a different place to give blood. Thanks.

This High HCT has me worried.. I only feel sluggish and tired and red faced.. Hope I can give blood soon..I'm at work so I'll follow up later.. Thank you.

Go to the red Cross and donate. You will have no issues there with hcg - as Jimmy mentioned it is not on the deferral list. You should be donating evey quarter (4 x a year) while you are on TRT. It's a known issue that TRT will cause your body to produce too many red blood cells.

Also, I highly suggestt to get your diet in check and lose weight. You are on TRT with an excellent T value in the ~900 range. With this T value coupled with the right diet and exercise program the weight will fall off.

Losing weight will help decrease estrogen levels (estrogen is made in fat cells) and help your overall health tremendously.
