I just did my first blood test and my glucose was 133. Would this have any effect on my test or other levels. Its usually under 100 in the morning..
I did the hormone panel from private lab MD. My test was a lot lower than I expected.Wondering if i should retest....
Age 50 40 pounds over weight never been on trt. Im a lawn guy so I walk a lot. Weight lifting only in the winter. My diet is all over the place fruit and coconut water when working and deer meat pork rice and eggs when im not..
. Lab results.
serum test 202.
Estradiol 16.8
LH 4.0
FSH 5.0
I've always suspected that my low T was the cause of shitty blood glucose. TRT seemed to fix it. My levels were about the same as yours before TRT. Not getting into the diabetic category yet, but higher than they should have been.
I'm probably not qualified to have theories on such things though...I couldn't even pass high school biology.

Low testosterone can most certainly cause diabetes; which you clinically are pushing the boundaries of. Were you fasted, and the draw first thing in the morning? Testosterone is such a vital hormone, and without it - the human body starts to crash, in a slow and painful death.
I would start seeing a doctor to discuss options here. Do NOT let them just treat the diabetes! I made that mistake, and am now insulin dependent as I spent way too long hypogonadal.
Metformin may be a good idea while (obviously under the care of a physician) you get things under control.
Yes I fasted about 14 hours. blood was draw about 3 hours after i got up. Thanks halfwit I may be looking at this backwards low t may be causing high glucose..

You need to get on this ASAP. I had treated my insulin resistance for the most part with TRT, but my pancreas just gave up eventually. Obesity can cause low T and high glucose - but low T can cause both of those too. It's just a matter of the chicken vs the egg really.
