High Test levels on 60 mg 2x/wk Test Cyp

I am new to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), been on 120 mg per week split into 60 mg every 84 hours, since April 15th. I feel good, my workouts have been the best I have had in years, and recovery from heavy days is great. Dr. checked my trough, and it came in at 494ng/dl Total, and 116 free using Quest labs. Then last week, Dr. says lets check peak, so we did that 28 hrs after injection, and my total was 2682 ng/dl and free 686. Estradiol was 18. I am only doing test cyp injections, no Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) or Aromatase inhibitor (AI). I cannot believe these numbers, is it possible the lab is in error? Stats are 49 y/o, 6'1" 270 lbs at 15% BF, lifting for 20+ years, run 5k 3X a week, and walk 5k 3x/wk, lift weights 5x week. Any advice is much appreciated, I am really bummed right now, because obviously my Dr. will not allow me to continue with these levels, and I am feeling so good.

So if I'm reading this correctly....You injected 60mg and had the lab done the following day and your level went from 494 up to 2682? AND, your trough would have been checked approximately 3 days after that shot..Something doesn't add up here. IMO there is no way a 60mg shot gave you a peak of 2682. To be honest, when I did 400mg a week, my peak was around that level.

Sorry, let me be more clear. We started with the trough, about 82 hours after a 60 mg shot we checked trough and it was 494, and that was 6 weeks after I started TRT. then July 10th Dr said lets check peak, so I did my 60 mg on the 10th and had BW pulled on the 11th, approx. 28 hours after shot, and that is when I got the 2682 total and 686 free. That is what I told dr when he called me with the levels, there has to be a mistake with the labs.

That's really strange...it's either a mistake or your body isn't getting rid of the testosterone...I'm not sure if that's even a possible scenario.

I don't see how this could be possible if you are only injecting 120mg of test per week. How are you measuring the 60mg per shot you give yourself?

What else are you taking? And what was your total test at before you started TRT.

There is no way that a man in his 40's being in the 300 range is normal. The reason so many men are experiencing Low T is because of all the foods now using Soy beans, oil, etc... Soy has a a lot of Estrogen in it and too much estrogen for men decreases Testosterone as well as increases the risk of Testicular and breast cancer in men. Soy products are extremely difficult to avoid these days. If your doctor won't consider therapy it may be due to other factors in your case. Otherwise get a different doctor. Some doctors think they are God or in charge of your body and health. We are all different and respond differently. Try it for 6 months and see if it works for you. Be sure and follow up regularly with lab work. Get your Mojo back and feel great again!

Megatron, I am using 1 CC syringe, and going to the 30 mark 2x a week, I inject in the glutes and thigh with 27 g 1 1/4" needle. Other meds are Lipitor (chol/trig/LDL), lysinopril(BP), and metformin (sugar). First test, total only was 224 ng/dl, second 8 days later was total 218 and free of 45, both times, test done at 830 a.m. It has to be a mistake, and have asked Dr. to repeat labs, got total and free test BW pulled July 23rd. Will update with the new values ASAP.

Thx, that makes me feel much better, I will be sure to post new labs. Also have a appt with different Dr. tomorrow. Interested to see what he thinks.
