hitting the weights after an injury

Ive recently been cleared to return back to the gym after being out of commission for quite a while. I wound up taking a head first off of a new construction site where the stair rails werent installed properly. Long story short it was herniated c2 c3 L4 L5. After therapy, traction and whatnot I have gotten almost full range of motion back and cleared to go.

I was wondering if anyone here has gone through anything similar and what you had done to get started. Any tips or advice would be much appreciated.

I just aggravated a month old back injury deadlifting. Did you go to physical therapy? If not, an appointment with a PT might enlighten what exercise would be good for you. I have decided to quit or severely cut back on squats and deadlifts for quite a while which sucks because those are my two favorite lifts.

There is definitely a huge benefit to eating prior to workout, that's what the studies show, If you have eaten a proper pre workout meal, you all but eliminate the need for a post workout shake & carbs...
