Home-made gear vs. Lab gear

I am banned!
What are your guys thoughts on home-made gear? I realize even if the gear has a Lab label on it that doesnt necessarily mean it was made in a lab. Couldve been made anywhere unless you get it straight from the pharmacy. I've had both types and I didnt notice much difference over the years. The home-made gear is usually much cheaper which is probably the biggest plus. I get a 25ml bottle of home-made for the same price as a 10ml Lab bottle...

It's all about the quality of the raws. And the precautions that are taken by the brewer. If it's good raws and made properly it's just as good as Rx. I would say that the consistency isn't going to be 100% with home made. But as long as the person making it knows what he's doing and has the proper equipment it's gtg. I brew some and like to do so. But u always have to test every batch and hope ur source is good...

The main concern I have with home-made gear is the sanitation.
How much knowledge does the cook have on precaution?
Where did the guy conduct the production? Dirty washroom or in a class 2 rated Biosafety cabinet? Aside from that, the purity of the powder and the oil used to dissolve makes a huge difference. There's a big difference between food grade stuff and pharmaceutical grade.
It's been said on the board many times, 100mg/mL of pharmaceutical stuff will always be superior to 100mg/mL of the UGL (assuming you got highest quality lab)
