how bad is this?

hey guys i'm tying to lose weight and i like to eat the maple and brown sugar oatmeal in the mornings and i know that everyone says to man up and eat the regular oatmeal but is the brown sugar oatmeal really that bad for someone that is trying to lose weight?
 
That stuff is very high in sugar. Get regular Oats and add some Splenda brown sugar. It is only 10 calories per tsp. Cut up some fresh strawberries or add some blueberries. This makes it better than that other stuff you're talking about anyways.
 
the packet oatmeal is perfectly fine in the mornings, regardless of whether you are cutting, bulking, whatever.

generally you do want to limit sugar throughout the day though, but a few packs of oatmeal for breakfast wont hurt progress.
