How can I train around this injury?

When I do french press, cable press downs, or anything that strictly works the triceps, the tip of my elbow hurts.

Are there any exercises I can do to work my triceps that wouldnt hurt the stupid tip of my elbow until it gets better?

Im gonna start physio therapy on friday, that always fixes everything for me, but im the mean time I need tricep exercises that dont stress the tip of the elbow.

It sure is a weird place to hurt! Thanks, GM.;)

I get that same pain from doing skull crushers. If I lay off them for a few weeks it goes away, but comes back about two weeks after starting them up again.

Try Close Grip presses, they don't bother me. Kickbacks are pain free too, as are rope press downs.

do compound movements and quit worrying about iso movements. dips and benching is all you need for tris anyway. i never seen a guy doin dips with 150lbs hanging off of him with small tris. never seen a 400lb bencher with small tris either. if you do close grip bench make sure to use a medium grip as very close puts a lot of pressure on the elbows. pinkies on the rings. also rack lockouts are great for building strong tris.

Right on SC, I just tried kickbacks and they dont hurt at all! Awsome, I will have to try the rope pull downs next tricep day. Thanks alot!;)

I cant believe kickbacks dont hurt at all, thats weird, but good!:D

Also SCNTO, I wonder what the pain is from? It better not be arthritus, im only 22 years old!

Does it really always come back? That sucks.

It also look slightly more pointy than the good one. I hate injuries...... lol.

Thanks man. ;) Great help on this board.

This training forum has really gotten alot better lately. I used to ask training questions in the anabolic forum because nobody ever came to this forum. Nice to see this forum grow. Its one of the most important ones.

Thanks again everyone.
