How do you grip bar on bench or during other lifts?

How do you Hold Bar during bench or other lifts?

Thumbs Under with the other 4 fingers, letting bar rest in the cusp of your hand.

Regular grip with thumb wraped around?
 
Just curious! Powerlifter told me aloooooooooooong time ago to put thumb on same side as other fingers. Been doing it this way for 20 years now... Actually feels strange to grip a bar... and personally can feel where it would be easier to injure your wrist and thumb. Guess it's all in how and what you get used to!??!

you wanna think of stretching the bar or breaking the bar in half when you are benching

thats hard to do if you have a suicide grip :)
 
lots of top benchers use thumbless grip. it is a legal grip in the apf/wpo.

instead of bending the bar i just turn the bend my arms towards the rack. its lots easier than breaking/stretching that heavy ol bar. :D
