I ussualy get 6-10 hours of sleep, but I've been noticing since ive been drinking 1-2 gallons of water a day I've been waking up every night to take a leak, I've heard you should not break your 8 hours and im wondering how detrimental this is, thanks

HA! I had a bike accident in 07. I went into a coma, so they had to use a caterer on me. That said, it fucked up my flow...for life, maybe. I pee 40-60% of what I normally did, so I'm always peeing! I wake up 2-4 time EVERY SINGLE NIGHT to go pee! And I only drink about a gallon/day. I had surgery twice already, but it sort of gets blocked wit time. :(

I do work outside roofing, besides that I do a half hour to an hour cardio everyday and im pissing sweat so I think 1-2 gallons is alright

Everyone is different, 7-7.5 is normal from what I remember, I like 8-8.5 One of my gifted friends in BB likes 9, I also know people who do well on 5.

If I don't get ~8 eventually my brain doesn't work as well, and my lifts aren't quite as good. I'm pretty sharp on 8 hours, after a few weeks on 6 except weekends I can still recite 90 decimal places of Pi but short term memory suffers.

If you interupt REM cycles (waking up) then you might feel like you missed an hour plus of sleep, missing 2 cycles for most is like missing 2-3 hours of sleep. This hits your short term memory and leaves you sleepy, especially if happening nightly. It takes me a good while to go back to sleep if I awaken, which is why I suffer so much, but some will hit the pillow and be out in 5 minutes. My serotonin/melatonin is just not where it should be.

This is one thing I'm also worried about. I work a 7 on 7 off schedule. My days off I get plenty of sleep and rest, but my seven days working I'd say I average 4.5 - 5 hours a night and that is interupted since one hour of that is on the bus going to work in the morning.

Go to bed earlier.. gotta get that rest to grow

I don't get up to pee but I still wake up throughout the night. I think I rarely sleep a straight 8 hours a night without waking. I've never heard about how it's supposed to be 8 hours of sleep that are uninterrupted.
