How is my tranning?

I am 6'3" 258 about 23% BF (not sure how accurate that is) waist 42" chest 47" bicep 17"
I'm wanting more size for now and wanting to cut after the first of the year.
All my work outs consistent of 4 sets ladder 12,10,8,6 and i always start all my work outs with 25 min cardio on elliptical

mon - chest all bench's and flys
tues- bicep back
wed- legs
thur- tri and shoulders
fri -off
sat - kind of full body. Dead, bench, klens, bar bell rows and military
sun- off

I was doing close to this when i 1st started a year ago Mon-Thur ,Fri chest again and sat bicep, body left good look more tone my lifts where going up little not big. Then i meet another guy in the gym lot bigger than me old power lifter he invited me to start working out with him. his work out style i was unsure about from what allot other people had always told me, but when we started working out my lifts (weights)went up fast. wasn't sure if lifts went up from his style or if was working out with someone bigger pushing me and me wanting to be where he was. my size never really got bigger but think this may have been due to not a big good diet. his work out was
Dead, squat , bench , bar bell rows , military press. same work out ever time but would rotate what we started with and what ever we started with that day we would lift to max out and just ladder the rest. worked out every other day
He had some heart problems and had to ease up and hasn't been in gym much lately so now I'm doing the above routine at top. i like being in the gym and felt like i wasn't there enough on his routine
So what to u think.
