Hi everybody,
I'm considering getting a few dental implants to replace some teeth in my upper jaw and was wondering (approximately) how long the process would take to complete from start to finish. Also want some info about miami implants surgeon. Thanks.

well worth the investment if you can afford them! bridges damage virgin teeth on each side and are not permanent by a long shot.

Bundy, what do they cost up your way? I saw a billboard the other day here for 750 ea which seemed cheap.

If and when my teeth start going from old age I will try to go the implant route long before bridges or dentures ;) I don;t care if the whole house has to eat rice and burger meat to be able to swing it!

Teeth are not over rated!

the prices vary alot depends on the dentist and the type of metal your getting the more gold in the metal the more he will charge u and gold is expensive as hell today.Base metal with a decent dentist will cost well over 1000 a tooth.A basic non precious crown goes for 1000.Dentists are the biggest pricks out there.Im a dental technician we hate each other.

In new jersey good quality implants will run about 3000.Lots of people go over to brooklyn were u can get it much cheaper from the russians but the quality wont be the same as in nj.I hate dentists those scumbags will send your crowns over to china were they will make it for dirt cheap.they will use the worst materails and the patient will never know the crown that they paid 1000dollars was made in china.DENTISTS ARE SCUMBAGS!Before you pay for your work make sure it was made by american hands.

Though painful but the rate of success of dental implants is quite high. As soon as your implant tooth get fixed you may have pain which may take some months. So need to have 6-7 months in hand for the complete dental implant procedure which are worthily enough to get beautiful smile on your face!

My Dental Implants took 4 months to completely heal and as suggested by Justin yeah the rate of success is quiet high as now I am in a much better condition than I ever was. Dental Implant

There are too many variables to put a certain time to HEAL.

There are different levels of "healed". Then there is infection, the dentist, so on and so on and so on. Get a consult with a dentist

Not really all that painful, I've had 3 implants plus bone grafting, pain was manageable
With Tylenol 3's, only some moderate pain after procedure for about 2 days

My grandmother's implants took 6 months. But it was worth its price. After the implants she has absolutely no problem now. If you are really in trouble with pain I suggest that you must go for it. Checkout more details on Dental implant dentist Rockville MD.

Yay! Go teeth.

Edit: thought I was replying to something else. I've had a few tonight. Hard day you know....

Takes about an hour to have the "post" part of the implant to be placed, and takes anywhere from 3-6 months to heal depending on how much bone you have in the area. Sometimes a bone graft needs to be placed, and that's what takes a while - the new bone has to intergrate into the space. If you already have a space where the implant is going to be placed, likely you will get to skip the grafting part.

After the post has had time to heal, you'll go back to the dentist to have the "male" part of the implant ( the part that sticks up out of the bone ) placed, and a crown made.

It will look and function just like your other teeth, only you won't feel hot, cold, sweet or sour on this "tooth".
