I was wondering what you guys do to get huge lats I want to concentrate (sp?) on them for the next few months. My middle back is fine and full of muscle, but I want big ass wings :D . I know to do pull downs and wide grip chin ups but what else should I do??

I had this on my mind the other day and was gonna post the same

IMO for wide ass lats chins are #1 by far.

Chins supersetted with pulldowns works wonders.

Add in some heavy rows, DB pullovers and deads and you are good to go.

Chin up or pull ups as some call them--eventually with weight as you get stronger. They are basic, simple and will never cease to be difficult. As your bodyweight increases so does the difficulty of the exercise.

You'll wanna get some huge serrati to complement your huge lats. I recommend DB Pullovers :)

hi!

my routine right now consists of:

chin ups (arched back and bar as close to the chest as you can do) 4x max.
deadlifts 12/10/8/8-6
db rows 12/10/8/8

thinking about taking out one set of db rows and deadlifts and putting in 3 sets of bb rows as well before deadlifts. Looks this way:

chin ups (arched back and bar as close to the chest as you can do) 4x max.
bb rows 12/10/8
deadlifts 10/8/8-6
db rows 12/10/8

What you think?

What I like:

Sternum Chin-Ups (supinated) with a fairly close grip
Reverse Grip Bent Over Barbell Rows
Dumbell Rows lying on elevated bench
Low Cable Pulley Rows using rope and underhand grip

no straps allowed at meets. I dont recommend using them for pullingdeads in the gym either. I use straps for bentover rows once i hit 405. thats about the only time i use them. dont do one arms cause the biggest ones we got at our gym is 150s and i can pull them all day long. but i used to use them on 1 arms. occassionally i will use them on deads if i am doin some high rep stuff. doesnt happen often though

i have such a weak grip ... my grip gets tired just pulling like 135 on deads ... with straps i think i could do 225 , that was a while ago .. latest i did was 200 ... it seems that i need straps for all my sets of deads :( except warmup with bar lmao

grass hopper you need to work that grip strength. no better way to do it than pullin deads. esp dbl overhand. quit using the straps for back work and your grip will come along. builds up your forearms as well.
