Hyperthyroid

If you were hyperthyroid, would you definitely know it? For me lately I've been on the fence as to whether or not I have a mild case of it.

What I notice that resembles hyperthyroidism:
*I run hotter, usually hotter than others and occasionally sweating a bit when I assume others aren't.
*I have an abnormally low cholesterol, something like 80 on a 200-240 range
*I'm fatigued at times, not completely debilitating, but fatigue nonetheless.

What I don't have that resembles hyperthyroidism:
*I don't notice frequent heart palpitations or tremors
*My pulse usually doesn't run over 90, unless lifting, and its resting is usually between 70-80.
*I don't sweat as much as I presume someone who's hyper would
*I haven't really experienced nervousness or restlessness often associated with hyperthyroidism
*I don't have diahrreah or frequent stools (two solid ones a day) but nothing abnormal there
*My blood pressure is normal
*I sleep normally.

Is it worth getting tested? In the past my thyroid has always looked good.

Unless you start seeing memory problems, mood swings, and debilitating fatigue I would not worry too much. Is there a reason why you are hesitant to get blood work done? When was your last blood work done?

^^^ if you're truly concerned a blood test is the way to go. Option 3 from that thread would give you a few different values to work with such as TSH, TT4, and FT4 and its only $93 bucks (less if you use a coupon).
