Absolutely hate it. It's funny because I'm one of the biggest guys in my gym. I'll be deadlifting a ton and some stranger will walk up and ask me "How much do you bench". Lol I just tell them I don't bench and they can't believe it.
I'm the same, my front delts and tris seem to do more of the work and feel like it doesn't target my chest. The only time I hit benchpress is on the machine as it allows me to engange my chest far better over delts/tris and back to some extent.
Once you have the basics down in training flat bench for bodybuilding is pointless, incline work and flys build the thickness. Only time i do flat is to show off my strength.
If I had T-rex arms, I'd probably have more love for chest presses, but as my wingspan is longer than most guys are tall - I just do them because I have to. I am starting to really like the hammer strength decline machine though.
