BICEPS PEAK. I know i know iv heard it a thousand times. Peak is genetic, and cant be developed. I think that is true to a point. Heres my arguement :
When your biceps grow, they have to grow they obviously take up bigger area. They cant grow longer because of the attachment origin. They have to grow thicker which means taller and wider.
Now from personal experience, when i started liftin i had no peak at all, i mean FLAT. Now i have a decent peak from my biceps increasing size. At them end of my cycle i will produce pictures to PROVE it.

Any thoughts on this?

I've heard doing things like hammer curls to make the brachioradialis bigger will push the bicep back and help create a peak. The change would be small if anything, but it's an idea.

you can build a peak without ever having the GENETICS.. it takes a certain style of training..

when you curl the DB, curl up and at the top roll the pinky side of your hand over the thumb side. so pinky over thumb. this will produce a crazy ass peak. i have tried this and it works.

a guy i work out with has done this for years. and his peaks are like mountains. and he said he never had peak when he first started working out for the first 4 years. then tried this and they came.

Arnold had two differently shaped biceps, if he could change it he probably would have.

Build up the brach and it will push the bicep "peak" up more, but its effect, not a reshaping of the muscle.

supiante ur wrist hard ,curle the pinky as ur dumpin a glass od water but the opposit way ,

I agree that doing this will make your peak look bigger. I tried doing this for a while. I did ONLY concentration curls for bis, and I definitely could tell that it made a difference, at least from the back ( the outer head). I think that many people will never try this because they believe that they always have to include heavy barbell/dumbell curls first, or only, in their bi workout. And that may be the best way to gain strength and mass in your biceps but it does not isolate the outer head.

Man your bis (both heads ) will get hit equally but you can throw stress into the brachiallis and brachioradialis by using a neutral or a palms down grip during curls and compound back exercises in general .........

roll pinky over thumb ? :gay2:

as big N explained it.. supinate the wrist as to dump a glass of water over the back of your hand.
it works.

For anyone who doesn't believe that supinating the wrist works your biceps try this:

bend your arm half way and look at your biceps. Now, without bending your arm, rotate your wrist all the way in one direction and then the other. You will see that when you have "pinky over thumb" (i.e. your pinky is closer to your face than your thumb) your biceps form a peak. When you rotate in the other direction the peak goes away.

...........................and ????

and....my point is, you believe that the biceps have only one function - the elbow flexors. If this were true there would only be one way to work your biceps.

A-rod said:
The inner head of the biceps contracts on elbow flexion only while the long head attaches to the shoulder which means the assist on front raise type of motions but at the elbow both heads atrtach to the same place which means you cannot contract them individually during any type of curls;

But I believe you can contract one part more than the other and, from what I just explained, it is obvious that they also are involved with supinating the wrist. When you do biceps exercises where you emphasize supinating the wrist, you are working the part of your biceps that is involved with forming the peak.
