Insulin makes you fat..wait?

DipKing

YAYYYY!!
In my university nutrition class I keep being told high levels of insulin will only store glycogen in adipose tissue (aka making you a fatass). Around certain circles, I've been taught high levels on insulin actually cuts bodyfat. Can someone explain the science to me behind this?

Insulin will never help cut body fat. Whether you store anything or not depends on your macro intake while the insulin is active...thats why it is reccomended that you don't use slin unless on cycle (to minimize fat gain) and also to cut out all fat during its active window.

Insulin turns off catabolic responses and turns on fat storage so if you intake to much during its active window (especially fat) then you will gain fat.

Very good read! I wish it was made this simple in my nutrition class. In there they act like insulin is a horrible thing and spiking it will eventually lead to heart disease, getting your legs chopped off, and rouge Albanians killing your friends and family.
