INUSLIN questions

Hey guys I'm looking to run an insulin cycle once I finish up my PCT to help maintain size and hopefully add some more as Im looking to compete in BB sometime next year. I have been doing tons of research on insulin and have plenty of AAS experience under my belt. I wanted to do an insulin and GH combo. I was planning on running GH at 5ius a day. And the insulin Humalog at 4ius first thing in the morning and 4ius right after my work out at around 745 at night. I understand the immediate risks of insulin as in coma and death but wondering if insulin is tough on the liver, kidneys, heart etc cuz i wanted to give them a break from AAS but still put on size to compete. And also whats the risk of me going hypo if I use a good shake like the ones i use now that consist of 50 grams of protein from egg whites, 1 cup of oatmeal, half cup of blueberries? and with the insulin I was thinking of adding in another 25 grams of whey and 50 grams of waximaize and using that after both my injects. Id appreciate the help big time guys thanks

I herd if you start using insulin you become diebetic and have 2 use it for da rest of your life, not 100 percent sure though. look into that.

I just starting my insulin protocol for the back half of a long Tren/test/mast cycle. Please be careful!!! My father is a lifelong diabetic, so I "get" what insulin does. Essentially, it's going to suck all the blood sugar and nutrients and amino acids out of your blood stream and shuttle them into your worked out cells--- leaving little or nothing for your brain and internal organs!!! Good for hypertrophy... Bad for brain! This is why you need to immediatly suck down carbs and protien in your shake. 50 grams of protien and 50-100 grams of carbs. In an hour you need to follow up with a real food meal of 50 protien/50 carbs. Resume regular diet with another meal 2 hours later.
So there are 2 problems with your plan. And they both relate to the unpredictability of insulin use. One: if you take insulin Pre-workout, you need to sip on a shake with carbs between sets during your workout. And have a partner who knows what you're doing. You can easily miss symptoms of depleted blood sugar during workout stress.
Two: you work out late in the evening. Even fast acting Humilog won't leave your body for four hours. Dude, remember you have to eat during those hours---- and most importantly--- YOU MAY NOT SLEEP!!! You can sleep through depleted blood sugar, slip into a coma, and DIE.
So my advice: untill you know how your body will react--- move your workout to earlier in the day and use your insulin only post work out. Follow a strictly timed diet and make sure all the added insulin has cleared your body before you go to bed at night.

if ur planning on competing...

5iu's of HGH per day is NOT gonna cut it, u'll have to be willing to run well over 10iu's per day for years

as for the slin... it's really up to u, but u shouldn't need it until u get your weight up over 250lbs (lean) assuming u are 5'10'' or less.

if u are 6' or more... DON'T even consider competing, not much hope of ever attaining anything unless ur gonna get your weight up well over 300lbs (offseason under 15% bf)

(note: only one bodybuilder 6'+ has ever been Mr. Olympia... just something to think about)

Always use slin with AAS, if you want use it for 12 weeks, do 4 weeks on, and 1 week off with Metformin (it's a fuck**ng good drug for anti-diabetic purpose).

Use also HCA for fat blocker (carbs turn into fat, if you take it too much)..

While using slin eat 7/10gr of carbs per IU, and 100gr of protein (as much proteina as you can, but not exaggerate, like 300 gr of protein LOL)

Thanks for the replies guys, Im not too worried about going hypo considering im gunna be having my shakes immediately after and then another meal about an hour after that and since im using humalog it will be out soon. My main concern is me becomming diabetic from this or something..

Couple things. Humalog lasts I think 2-3 hours? I use humalin R which by the way is non prescription in california and some other places. Humalog requires a prescription I believe. For me, I like to eat a meal sometime before I inject and then I drink skim milk right after I inject and until the 4 hours are up. It would be ideal to eat a meal about an hour or so after you inject also. These timings are for humalin R though, not humalog. I like humalin R because it will cover you while you are in the gym and after as a post workout nutrient absorber.

I would NOT start out taking it pre workout. It took me one 4 week cycle post workout before I started feeling comfortable running it pre workout. A lot of guys say unless you are a professional and REALLY know what you are doing, not to run insulin pre workout. I think you should be ok, but practice post workout first. A lot of guys inject 3 times a day and cycle 4 weeks on 3 weeks off. I only use it pre workout so thats only about 5 times per week. I used for 4 weeks, cycled off for 3, and have been on for 5 since I have been AAS cycle now.

Spend at least a month doing research before you start. Definitely buy a blood glucose monitor and it wouldn't hurt to have some quick digesting glucose drinks/tabs on hand. I keep a couple in my car, in my motorcycle, in my room, and in my girlfriends room.

To me, the IDEAL thing to use while on slin is skim milk. It has carbs and protein in a GREAT ratio, is cheap, and tastes great :) I'll drink like 3 glasses right after I inject and then drink a few more glasses while I lift, and a couple more after. I mix in protein for some of them.

A lot of people say you will gain lots of fat on slin, and while it is likely, if you eat a clean diet you should be ok. I don't eat hardly ANY fat for like an hour or 2 before I inject and then 4 hours after I inject. Fat will get pushed into your cells just like the carbs, protein, and creatine that slin is known for shuttling into your cells.

Does anyone have any comments on if you need to cycle on and off if you are only using it once a day 4-5 days a week at 8IU. I am 185lb 7% bf.

Thanks for the help, so what kind of carbs did you use for your shake and post workout meal?

Like I said, I like to eat like 45 minutes to an hour before I inject, then drink a skim milk/protein shake right after I inject, and maybe an extra cup or 2 of milk depending on how much carbs I got in my meal, then IDEALLY you would eat an hour or 2 after you inject and I just use a lot of skim milk throughout the 4 hours that the humalin r is active. Skim milk is lean, cheap, and has tons of carbs and protein in a good ratio for while your on slin. If you drink 40oz of milk thats 5 8oz servings = 60grams carbs and 45grams protein 0grams fat. Another thing that I do because I know I lack fruit/veggies in my diet is I will eat a piece of fruit after injection or an hour or so after.

The key is to get a blood glucose monitor and for a while check your glucose levels constantly between meals etc and see how your body reacts. You can find a monitor/strips online for cheaper than you will find them in the store. The strips can be pricey, but a monitor is absolutely essential as it could save your life.
