Hello,

Im in a serious predicament, I recently had a lab draw and it showed my iron level was at a 19 which was extremely low and the Dr refused to sign me off as fit for duty, I have never had any problems training or doing physical activity. fatigue is never a problem, and my performance evaluations have always been top tier. So, I need to get my iron up pronto! or no job no insurance. for the last week Ive been taking B12 injections, Vitamin C 1,000mg, liquid iron, iron rich diet, ferrous sulfate 325mg x 2 a day. multi vitamin. fish oil, omega plus, and regular protein intake.

I had this problem before and never got an answer besides absorbtion problem, no bleeds no nothing. I stopped taking iron because I felt fine. (stupid on my part)

just finished a 12 wk enanthate cycle on PCT now as well.

How can I get my iron up PRONTO so I can keep my job. any info is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Ur gonna fuck ur self up with all that iron, ur body can't process all that u know there its a such thing as iron poisoning right? I know cause I did it to myself, regular multivitamins have 150% ur dv of iron eat allot of red meat

Your B12 intake is from a misunderstanding of the different causes and Tx for different types of anemia. B12 shots are for pernicious anemia. Pernicious anemia is a lack of intrinisic factor production which is needed to absorb ingested B12, hence the shots for Tx.

Iron-deficiency anemia is usually from a lack of absorption or excessive blood loss.

Taking B12 will do nothing for your situation, and BigHuge is right describing the dangers of excessive iron consumption.

I'm an RN, so I remember all this from school. You should have asked your doctor how to get your iron level up, but it seems you already know how, by supplementing your dietary intake.

I checked my Lab Test and Diagnostic Reference book regarding blood work for iron. Range is 80-180 for men (you already know from lab test), and it states that testosterone can lower blood levels.

Honestly, this website is an amazing resource for steroid questions as steroids are illegal and it's harder to get info. Not trying to be a dick, but I wouldn't ask anybody on here about my asthma, colitis, or your iron deficiency.

Anyway, supplementing your intake is the only way to do it, and you're already doing that. Was there any other abnormal values in your bloodwork?
