Well if your legs look good doing that weight, then its good. If your legs look great doing that weight then thats great, and so on. Nobody really cares when an average guy moves lots of weight.

So you consider that bad? Why?

I'm 21 (22 yrs old in 22 days) 5'8" 212lbs.
I can also incline press 20lb DB's for 3 reps. One day I'll be bigger than DADAWG!

Mr. dB said:Haha, I am presently suffering from a leg press induced injury.
First rep of my warmup set, I only had seven plates/side loaded, came down slowly, 'til my thighs were against my chest and my butt was beginning to lift off the seat. Just before I drove the sled back up, I felt something give in my chest -- I think I cracked a rib.
elijah_123 said:Don't blame the leg press for that!
It's like dropping a bar with 250 while doing bench and blaming the bench press for breaking a rib.![]()

elijah_123 said:You don't ever wanna lift heavy then. After awhile squats get to be too much. Look at most of the pros. Squats are not a core of their lifting any more just too much weight. Your legs get so strong that other parts (back/torso/ankles) can't handle the constant abuse of heavy squatting regularly. Go watch hard core squatters. They have to use so much tape, supports and topical pain killers it is rediculous.
Besides varying foot position on leg presses is great to focus on parts that you can't do as easily squatting.

Not arguing to get rid of squats, I love them and will do em till I can't anymore. But legpresses have a definate place in my routine.
