Is my testosterone low for my age? Blood test inside

If you are doing a restart and it actually works, you would keep a higher testosterone level than when you were shutdown but it won't be as high as when you are on the clomid.

I think I'm going to place another order for hcg and arimidex incase when I get my bloods done I see my estrogen is too high. I would go on hcg for a couple weeks then go on the clomid/nolva correct? How much hcg would u recommend I take?

No, hcg is only used to prevent testicular atrophy, preserve fertility, or as an HRT analogue/monotherapy. You don't use it as a "jump start" like clomid. There are some threads on the site with different protocols. Use the search function. There may even be one on the stickeys. Take your pick.

Basically what i am saying is, you can use Hcg FOREVER if it restores your testosterone to an acceptable level. If the e2 is too high then you can throw in some low dose AI.

You can do the same thing with clomid, but clomid is known to hide the mental effects of testosterone so you might not feel as good on it. Some people love it, others hate it.

Your last choice is to take straight up testosterone. You could add an AI to control estrogen levels, and hcg to preserve fertility and testicular size.

You could try a clomid restart before all this, but those don't always work. Do the research, take your pick.

In my opinion, Hcg is the best if it works for you. You kill two birds with one stone. Restoring testosterone AND fertility at the same time, but the caveat is that not everyone testicles respond to lh/fsh/hcg. You also have to mix hcg and refrigerate it which can be a hassle. Every form of HRT has it's advantage. Clomid is just a fucking pill you have to take, but again, some people get the "weepy" effect on it.

Holy crap kid. Be careful with the Arimidex. You crash your E2 and you will want to die. You need to educate yourself more before you medicate more. Step back this might can be overcome and might not but slow down before you go of the deep end and order this that and whatever planning to take whatever at a drop of a hat or a testicle Ha!
Sorry to joke but read and research. Nothing lasting is going to change overnight. I'm 62 yrs. old and been doing this since 1980. ...OMM

So since my testicles are currently at least working and I had no atrophy I can skip on the hcg? I read a lot of diff protocols and a lot say hcg, but I don't know if that's only for people who's balls aren't working. Maybe I won't order the hcg and I'll try the clomid first.

I wasn't planning on just popping arimidex, I was going to get my bloods first and if it seems like I need it I'd take it. I don't mind ordering it even if I don't use it because it takes a few weeks to get here and I'd rather just have it on hand. Even if I don't use it it's pretty cheap so I wouldn't really care

The best way to find out what works best for you is to try all your options. If you can experiment with hcg, clomid and testosterone, with blood work for each protocol and going by how you feel, you will find the method you prefer. Hcg can still increase your testosterone if you have secondary hypogonadism. With primary your balls are just burnt out, with secondary, your brain isn't telling your balls to do anything. Hcg and clomid are fantastic for secondary hypogonadism but pretty useless for primary. If you have primary you need testosterone replacement.

Ill just give clomid/nolva a try first I guess. Should I still take nolva with it or just clomid?

Also off topic but do u have any idea as to why id still have severe facial acne 7 months post cycle? I've done a ton of research but can't figure it out. Do u think it's cuz my hormones haven't hit homeostasis or cuz my oil glands are still open a ton. If you don't know, no big deal

It could be high E2, or even DHT could do it. I need blood work for a better answer.

Look for protocols on the site. I can't spoon feed you every last bite you know :rolleyes2

Trust me I've been trying protocols for acne and done research for a while now nothing is working. I've tried b5, derm meds, accutane except it messed with my eyes so I stopped, tanning, etc. none of it's working. So I wasn't sure if you could tell what could be up based on my situation in general but it's no big deal I'll save that for another topic. Though I'm starting to assume high e2

Yeah, get the blood work. It will help you immensely now and further down the line. Blood work is invaluable, with the right knowledge.

50-100 mg of zinc picolinate is something that has worked for me and i recommend. It's also part of Austinite's acne protocol. Zinc is a mild Aromatase(E2) and 5-alpha reductase(DHT) inhibitor. It is also a potent anti-oxidant(indirectly) and it super charges your immune system. Vitamin D also helped me out. When my Vitamin D was at it's highest point, my skin was pretty dry, very little oil. So you can try some of that stuff but do yourself a favor and get blood work.

I've been taking doxycycline and zinc with no results. Only 50mg zinc maybe I'll up the dosage. I'm hoping this private lab doesn't ask for my id since I had to go out of state for it so I can get this blood work.. I desperately want it

You can go up to 100 mg for a while. Zinc is a pretty potent mineral in high doses. It can respectably increase testosterone with a megadose. You NEED the stuff in order to convert cholesterol into testosterone in the testicles. It's the "male" mineral.

I recommend Zinc picolinate. It's one the most potent forms of zinc. Monomethionine is my second recommendation.

I just ordered some HCG and arimidex, just incase i decide to use it. I think I am going to though.. I just feel like using HCG then clomid after will ease my mind more instead of taking just the clomid and wondering what if I used HCG. Unless you think HCG is a bad idea for me since im still technically in normal TT range.

Should I still take nolva when i take the clomid? I'm a little confused, I see people saying clomid/nolva with HCG will basically counteract each other.. but then I see Scally's protocol that says use HCG/Clomid/Nolva together.

My bloods req form just got emailed to me. It says nothing about needing an ID so im hoping when i go tomorrow I can cross the border and get it done without them asking for it. If all goes well i should have my LH, FSH, TT, E2 bloods within a few days.

Just went to privatelabs, didnt ask for ID. Should get my bloods in a few days so im really happy about that. Also a local source had Hcg so i have that on hand now. And I also happened to get arimidex today too.

My clomid/nolva will be here in a week or so. Should i start on my Hcg or wait and use clomid/nolva with it? I won't touch the arimidex until my bloods get back and i see my e2.

I know I want to dose my clomid at 50/50/25/25 and nolva at 20/20/10/10, but I'm still unsure about hcg dosage. I've been looking at a lot of info but its so random at what people suggest, I see anything from 500ui a day for a week to 2000ui a day for 2 weeks, just random answers. I just don't want to overdo it.

Are you trying to restart your testosterone production? I've seen protocols that use all three drugs(clomiphene, tamoxifen, and hcg) Just stick to a good protocol and get tested. Look at what people have to say about their results, ask questions, etc. I would wait for blood work before starting anything. That's just me though.

Yeah i think im semi-shutdown. I'll wait til i get my bloods. I'm thinking of doing 1000ui hcg every other day for 2 weeks, ill start my clomid/nolva with it when it gets here.

Becareful, very high dosage of Hcg can desensitize your leydig cells, It's counter productive. More is not better. That sounds like a lot. I read some research that show the upper limit per week but i don't remember off the top of my head.

So my doctors office called me back today and said they werent sure what the tests I wanted were even for (LH, FSH, E2). So they want me to see an endo and gave me a referral. Should I goto an endo or is it a bad idea?

Is that true that your test levels never go back to normal or is it based on your age?

That's a shame that it pretty much shuts you down if it is true.
