Is there a routine suited better during a cut?

I'm currently trying to cut down some BF at the moment and i want to know if anyone here can explain to me a routine or an approach to lifting weights that is better during a cutting phase? Should i keep adding heavy weights, less sets, more reps, more sets, mess around with the tempos/lowering the weight, supersets, trisets, piramids? Right now i'm working out 5 x a week and i'm doing an antagonist type split, starting out with intense cardio or HIIT cardio and then i hit the weights but instead of lifting heavy weights for low reps i user lighter weights so i can do very slow and controlled movement for 20-25 reps, 5 sets and usually 3-4 exercises per muscle. Let me know what you guys think or how i can do something else that is more effective. I'm just interested in cutting right now and trying to keep the mass i've gained with my past routine. Thanks.

based from the people that i've talked with who are cutting, it's difficult but not impossible to keep on adding weight during a cut. with high reps, it's definitely for definition. also with cut, it's a carb/cal depletion. in exchange, higher protein and more fat ingestion.

i'd suggest keeping the compounds to a minimal and go with more accessory, but that's just me. at least, that's what i would do when i cut :)
