gonna try this split to generate some new growth.

mon back/biceps
tues chest/triceps
wed cardio/abs
thur delts/traps
fri legs
sat abs
sun rest

does anyone think this needs to be changed or is this split ok?

turn it into a mon/wed/fri push/pull/legs split.

train shoulders with chest and tris, train traps with back and bis.

trevdog right.... best 1s is your ones...... if me i would do
chest and triceps
back and biceps
calves and cadio
delts traps
legs
give me more time between chest and shoulders

thanks guys, i think its best that i stick to chest, tri rather than trying to do chest, tri and shoulders.

i find a 45-50 min w/out best otherwise my energy levels crash if i train for over an hour, although creatine does help a little.

I keep seeing recommendations about splits like this but i dont know what would be the right amount of sets/reps without over training. Suareezay- do you have a sample program on hand with that regimen breakdown? Much appreciated if you have one to post

I use this same split except I do chest/tricep mon and back/biceps on tue. I have only been lifting 6 months but this split and a sensible high protein diet has worked better than I ever imagined it could.

glad to hear your getting good results with this split.
it really makes a difference when your diet is in check, mines been good for 2months now and ive lost 2% bodyfat.

ive been lifting for quite a few years and havn't seen much progress this last few years because my diet wasn't up to scratch and i hadn't found the ideal split.
i eat what i want on saturdays though and that makes me stick to a clean diet the rest of the week.

AS long as you are hitting all the muscle groups you want/need to hit and you are recovering ok than I say go with it. YOu can always alter it as you go.
