I've come a long way, . . .

JOWS6

I am banned!
As per Chip's recommendation, I feel the need to address a few things.

Quick history of me: During February 2010, I noticed a decrease in libido. I attributed this to the winter season and thought things would pick up during the spring/summer. It did not and had gotten progressively worse. I made an appointment with my primary doctor to have my testosterone checked and sure enough, it was low. With a reference range of 250-1100, I was at 179. She called me to tell me my testosterone score and asked for my pharmacy's phone number so that she can fax them a script for Androgel. I said, no and much rather she use her pen to write out a referral instead of a prescription.

I had seen my endocrinologist and he explained my condition more in-depth and he too, wanted to run a trial of Androgel. With the school semester drawing near, I decided not to go ahead with his recommendation. I needed time to think about it and look into it for myself so during the semester I researched all I can about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), hypogonadism, hypothyroidism, SLOH, andropause, etc., etc. I wanted to know what I was getting into since I was scared at the fact I would be injecting "steroids" in which we all know the negative connotation associated with it.

As you can see, I not complacent with what I'm told and need to know things for myself. I don't rush into things. I get that all the time. I am very happy that I waited because I believe, "Good things come to those who wait." Sometimes we are too quick to rush into things because we need instant gratification. I am not that way at all. I am very deliberate and decisive.

Sometimes, I may come off as a hard ass and I can assure you guys, that is not my intention at all. I jus' ask tough questions and part of the problem with me is that I am too forward or blunt. So if anyone has been offended by my forwardness, I apologize and again; my intentions are good.

Good for you bro. Never struck me as a "hard ass", whatever that is.

me neither. its actually quite refreshing to see someone speak (type) their mind. i know you and i had words in another thread, but hear me now. I take nothing that is said on the internet personally. Hell, i barely take anything in life personally.

We are all here to learn, and if anyone comes across as an asshole its me. Don't sweat it. You did things the right way.

Chip's a great resource, and an even better guy, but you always gotta take care of you FIRST. Even he will tell you that. If you gotta ask the tough questions, do it. So don't ever apologize for being who you are.

No worries. You are doing what's right for you and hopefully you are on the right track to meet your goals. And, if I ever go for my PhD. I know who I'm going to for help with researching databases.

Good for you Jow, you actually remind me alot of myself, but I also seem to over-think things. Well anyway good for you.

In my eyes, it's the toughest guys in th world that have the stones to stand up after presenting one "side" of themselves, to actually take a step back and acknowledge that maybe their approach could have been "received" better by others in a different manner. I respect you JOWS6. The reason I gave you my advice to take a coulpe steps back, an reevaluate your "delivery" is because as we spoke of, there are a lot of bros on this particular forum that have truly adopted MAXIMUS Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and this forum as a fraternity. One like I've NEVER seen on any other board! And we have all fought really hard make this gel like it has. If things all of a sudden become a cesspool and breeding ground for controversy, it assures that a lot fewer of us bros are going to maintain our consistensy and desire to be a part of something great, like the "MAXIMUS NATION"!

Thanks for the post and your knowledge and friendship, brother!

Good for you JOW, as we had discussed in the past, there are so many things to research and review before you make any big decisions. With myself having thyroid issues, it is a matter of being patient and making the right decisions to make sure your health is always top notch. Best of luck to you.

Thanks guys. Glad we're all on the same page now.

I can't wait to start this protocol. Think it'll be here sooner than expected Chip?
