Ok, so I went to my doc and said "I want my hormones tested... Estrogen, Test, Thyroid..."

I wasn't sure what others to ask for (off the top of my head in his office). He declined everything except Free Test, Total Test, and TSH. I got my results back for Test and TSH today.

Total Testosterone: 2.5 ng/mL (250 ng/dL)
Free Testosterone: 10.24 pg/mL
TSH: 2.21 uIU/mL
LH: 1.6 IU/L
FSH: 2.2 IU/L

36yrs
6'4"
245lbs
27% BF

I know this isn't enough information to make a treatment decision, I'm just wondering what the next step is. I am going to see the doc again in about an hour, and will post what he says, but I'm feeling pessimistic.

I'll update this when I get back in a couple hours if I can. I'm just a little freaked out at the Test numbers. Seem really low to me, and I am having low test symptoms:

Low libido, weight gain, lethargy, depression...

Any advice?

So my doctor said that all he cares about are the sexual symptoms: can I get an erection, and do I have any sex drive. I said my libido was low, but I can still get hard.

He took blood to test LH and FSH. If they are high, I will be referred to an Endo, otherwise a Urologist.

Does this sound right?

Sure, it sounds right if you want to spend thousands of dollars to ultimately be told that you have the test levels of a 5 year old boy and need to go on TRT. Then you will go on gel and feel like shit still. Then you will get prescribed 100-200mg once every weeks of cypionate if you are lucky without an anti estrogen or HCG. Then you will have spent a total of 5-10 thousand dollars following around incompetent, inexperienced docs with no answers. Just go with Maximus. If you don't believe me, enjoy the ride. Learn from us that have made the mistake. 250 test level is ridiculous. That right there means you need treatment. And if anyone can look you in the eye and tell you a consistent 250 level is fine they should be put in jail for malpractice.

Ok, I'm in touch with him now.
