Just received blodd work results. Not what I expected.

I've posted in this forum multiple times about having severe anxiety issues after coming off a year long cycle of steroids. To this day, 5 months later, I still suffer from anxiety. Just to a lesser extent due to medications but it's still affecting me. I got no help from any of the doctors. They were clueless as to what caused the anxiety. They just wanted to prescribe medications and not figure out what caused it. I was told by a number of people that my E2 levels were probably out of whack and that it would probably be the cause of the anxiety issues. I've read the Basic TRT Overview in this forum and got blood work done according to information provided in that article. I was tested for TT, LH, FSH, TSH, T4, T3 and estradiol levels. These are my results:

Serum Testosterone: 398 ng/dL (348 - 1197)
LH: 7.5 mIU/mL (1.7 - 8.6)
FSH: 5.6 mIU/mL (1.5 - 12.4)
TSH: 0.995 uIU/mL (0.450 - 4.500)
T4: 6.6 (4.5 - 12.0)
T3: 96 ng/dL (71 - 180)
Estradiol; 18.9 pg/mL (7.6 - 42.6)

According to my blood work results, everything is pretty much where it should be. If I'm reading it correctly, the serum testosterone is on the low side of normal (348 - 1197ng/dL) and it's there only due to a few months of Andro-Gel usage. I'm shocked that my estradiol level is in the normal range. I was almost wishing that it was low so I would have an answer as to what caused the severe anxiety. My testosterone levels were 172.6 ng/dL back in May. They were much lower previous to that. I don't have those results handy but I measured 48.0 ng/dL, if I recall correctly. Maybe the anxiety was caused by an almost non-existent testosterone production in my body. Basically, though, I'm back to square one with the anxiety issues case.

I just switched from Andro-Gel to cypionate injections. I will be injecting 75mgs. every Wednesday and Sunday for a total of 150mgs. weekly. Should I be taking an AI with these injections? The Basic TRT Overview calls for .50mg weekly, divided into two 25mgs. with the cypionate injections. With my estradiol levels in the normal range, is an AI needed?

It seems that the more I learn from this forum, the more questions I have. Thanks in advance for any help.

I would skip the AI. My e levels are comfortable in the mid 30's. Maybe an increase will help your well being. only blood tests will confirm but at that t dose I doubt you'll need an ai at all.

Things will get better. I felt like absolute shit at your current t level.

Your T isnt high enough (400 is right about where creams get you) and your E2 is too low.

Low E2 and high E2 have many of the same symptoms. Low E2 headaches, joint pain etc.

If you call us you will feel better in a month :)

Low E2? I never expected it to be low. I'll call tomorrow.

Those are bloods from a natty guy, not a trt guy. you must be off of the andro-gel.

If your were TRT those LH and FSH would be much lower

Yes these are off the gel numbers correct Of course I often wonder if the gel impact LH & FSH as much as injections. Id speculate much less in fact.

I've been on the Andro-Gel for months now.

This just adds more confusion to my blood work results. I'm being told that my E2 is low. How would I go around raising it? I'm hoping the cypionate injections will get my serum testosterone up.

Yes the HCG will help that. Also just remember you are starting over when you switch to injections. So you could need a small amount of AI when blood levels stabilize.

Talk with you soon!
