Just started HRT and need help...

Hi everyone I am lost as well and really need some help. I am 35 years old and have been battling low test for just about as long as I can remember. I have never been able to have children. Recently I have been very concerned with my health, and went to a specialist. I was diagnosed with low test which I already assumed. They do not know why I am suffering these problems yet, but put me on Testogel. I've been taking it for about 2 weeks and really don't feel much different. I've always battled with manboobs, and to totally honest I'm just so fed up with it all. I've been reading alot of your posts, and it really seems like you all have more knowledge than the docs. Please guys if you could steer me in the right direction to better health I would greatly appreciate it.

Contact Chip. I know it seems very repetitive around here but its all because we have found the light.

Regardless of which therapeutic path you choose, I don't think you are likely to see significant improvements after just two weeks.

I was using Testim gel prior to switching to Maximus HRT and did not feel better until I was using two tubes daily for at least 5-6 weeks.

I am now 8 days into my Maximus protocol, which equals two Test injections of 200mg each and I know I have yet to feel the full effects of my new treatment, although I am seeing some benefits such as weight (fat) loss, increased libido and muscle mass, I just don't have the elevated mood and sense of well being I felt at the end of my Testim phase, but I am sure it is on the way!

I would agree that Maximus is the way to go, having said that, I wouldn't expect a turnaround in your mood etc. in just two weeks of therapy.

Its not that I thought I would be getting better already. Its just that I'm trying to stay ahead on this stuff, and it seems that everything that I've been reading on these forums about the gels just isn't good. Like anyone else I really don't want to be waisting valuable time.

If you have your blood work. I would say send it over to Chip and consult with him. Unless you find a doc that is into the anti-aging med. I dont think you'll get what you need. It does seem that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is getting more popular with MD's, but you'll be saving yourself alot of time by talking to Chip.

Thanks a whole lot man. I'm a little freaked out today. I spent about an hour and a half in the gym this morning and felt great. When I got home and took a shower my nipples were hurting and super sensitive. That can't be good huh... haha.

Yes, contact Chip, but read before you do. Chip will give you what you want (if you need it, which is sounds like you do) but he is busy. Don't expect to spend hours on the phone with him and get all the info you want/need. I'm SO glad that I took the time to read and read and read on these forums.

I obviously like Chip, as I'm rockin' his avatar and happily using his services, but you should still read as much as you can to understand the medicine and the way your body will react.
Just my $.02.

Thanks again everyone for all of your input. I've been reading alot lately on these forums. Thats why I went to the doc here in Germany. I have already written Chip, but I guess it would be better to just give him a call. Once again thanks guys.

Hmmm, not sure I agree with that description of Chip. Nor am I quite sure exact point, but it can be read as Chip is an order taker - people figure things out themselves.

Chip never rushed me or told me he was too busy to answer my questions. So, I certainly didn't go to Chip and say, "I need this, that and the other thing." It was him listening to me and telling me what I should start with and why.

I see Chip reach out to A LOT of unknowing prospective clients on this board to offer them help.

Chip is very busy, but I don't think I'd categorize him as "you need to know what to ask for because he's not going to take the time to help figure it out" type of person.

However, I do agree with doing research and self educating - but that's not just for HRT.

I'm only a prospective client of Chip's but I've corresponded with him via email numerous times. With me not even a client yet, he's answered all my questions and quickly.

The minute I have the funding, I will be working with Chip!

Once again thank you all for your time and feedback. I am currently trying to get in contact with Chip. I went to his website and filled out of the documentation required to register with his company. Still waiting on a reply. Thank guys.

Sorry to tell you, but, if your in Germany Chip cannot help you.. If you are in the US just give it till Tomor at least, because it is Labor Day weekend

If you are in Germany, Chip probably can't help. Try your best to find a German doctor that specializes in Andropause.

With that said, some people do fine on gels. It can take a few weeks to feel any effects. Get follow-up bloodwork done and see how things look. Remember, testosterone is only one of many hormones and there can be lots of causes for your symptoms. Go in with realistic expectations.

To be totally honest I have been working with 2 different doc here and they are both worthless. One of them took 2 months to get me an appointment. The other doctor is the one that put me on the testogel and doesn't want to treat me for the issues that I am having now. I really don't know what else to do. Anyway thanks for all of you guys help. Laterz

Do you have any blood work to share. If you have man boobies you may just need to do something as simple as lowering your estrogen levels which would raise your testosterone levels. Bottom line you shouldn't be on any form of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) until you figure out if you are primary or secondary. To do this you need to do the Clomid Challenge. But again you may not even need this.
What are you LH, FSH, Total Test, Estrodial, and SHBG
