i was wondering what are peoples opinion on knee wraps because i do not squat because of my back but i do heavy leg presses, now i get cortizone shots in my knee and was wondering if i should start wearing knee wraps?

If your presses are heavy sure, Ronnie wears them. I dont wear them at the moment but I have not gone past 860 for my reps.

ive had a bad knee most of my life..i used to squat with my old knee brace that i used for hockey..well the thing really was so old it wasnt doing much so i got some knee wraps as well as knee sleeves from inzer..you defintely get more rebound and support behind the knee from the wraps..but the sleeves are also very strong..money wise the wraps are cheaper and prolly better..

titan titanium wraps are pretty solid..only 22 bucks i think..check dawg's sticky for a link to their page

if you knees giving you probs then by all means wrap away. i posted a how to clip on one version of wrapping. my knees are acting up again so its time for me to start wrapping as well. only prob with wrapping is that you will need to increase poundage to get the same workout.

Trust me on this, check out PBs vid on how to wrap, I added quite a few lbs due to him showing me the correct way to wrap, hell one day I may catch his scrawny little ass...

shit i am trying to catch your big ass.

I'll finish up my third rotation this week. looking forward to next week to see what happens.

let me know when you ready to put them boys to shame at your gym. we'll fine tune it and blow thier little weak ass minds. id love to be there when it happens. hell send um to my gym. we'll shut they asses up.

This statement makes me wonder if I'm doing leg presses correctly, because I can rep 720 pretty easily (after doing squats) and I'm nowhere near the strength or size that you are.

I'm 90% sure I'm going down as far as I can (I even try to lift my heels up slightly at the bottom of the rep to get down a little further), but I'm using a ridculous amount of weight it seems with leg press, and I'm only squatting 285lbs for reps (I'm all natural, only been working out for a year and a half so cut me a little slack, haha)

Not necessarily doing them incorrectly bro. There's a HUGE difference between machines, based on mechanism of lowering/raising weight, angle of sled, whether it's lubed up or not, etc.

At my gym back home, I could only do 500 for reps (maxed 650x2 this past summer there), at the rec here at school I could do 830x6-8 for 3-4 sets, but where I'm working out at now, I can only do 600ish for my reps --- Only difference being machines involved....hell, I'm actually stronger now that I was when I was lifting in the rec and I'm still doing almost 250lbs less on leg press.

Who knows, I go slowly and dont bounce off my ribs. But keep in mind a strong guy will be doing 1500+ for reps.

I agree with that, I am a plate weaker on the hack squats at my current gym versus the old.
