Yes - sadly, it is true. Its a serious injury, and I think he also suffered some brain damage from a stroke and had a serious seizure. I doubt that he will never compete again.

One of the dumbest assumptions people and especially DOCTORS make. They see someone who's young and look like they're in shape, and the conclusion is that they're HEALTHY. A lot of doctors also think that if someone's young, they'll never get heart disease or colon cancer. It happens to everyone, even young people, just not as much as the older crowd.
