Alright, that took forever to write down. My doctor doesn't seem worried about anything the testosterone is doing. He knows I want to get my E2 levels down. He suggested doing 2 injections a month instead of 4. Not a lot of experienced doctors in HRT in Japan. Told him I'd rather break the 250mg a week into there own doses, but that would cost me much more. I'm going to look for an UGL and get some test so I can do 1 shot at the doctors and 1 at home. Doctor is cool with that. Importing test into Japan is not a legal issue.

I plan on taking 0.25mg of Adex every 3.5 days unless someone else has a better idea or more experience with a different dosing method. Not sure how long to way to redo my tests and what tests I should redo (All of them, some of them, just E2?). Help!!

Why can't you self-inject at home and control your pinning frequency?

Get your E2 lower.

Donate blood as your hematocrit is getting on the higher side.

I can't remember: are you doing anything about your thyroid?

Any concerns with the uric acid being elevated?

Insurance will only pay if I go into the office. I go in once a week. Going in twice a week is a pain because of where I live and where this doctor is located. Finding this doctor took me forever. Most doctors will give you 2x a month of test.

Tried to donate blood but apparently I can't because I take a sleep-aid. They have the trucks setup all over the place asking for blood. Went in, tried, they said if I couldn't read the long questionnaire that I wasn't able to donate. Told them to read it to me and that I could understand and answer. It seemed like they just didn't want me to donate. I'll try, but not sure if I can.

Nothing happening as far as my thyroid. Had the same thing several years back. Doctor told me it was slightly elevated but nothing to worry about. I tried doing some research but thyroid and testosterone at the same time got me tired. I do suffer from anxiety, slight depression at times, fatigue. Can't say what it is really since life here is pretty hectic.

Uric acid levels aren't a concern right now. They were elevated but the doctor said my previous tests showed nothing unusual and that we would retest again next time around.

So, what do you think about dosing? And are there any other ways to get my hematocrit down without donating blood?

Pay out of pocket then. Don't let insurance dictate. Learn how to self-inject.

Lowering dose of test will reduce hematocrit. But donating blood is the preferred solution. You could ask your doc for a prescription for therapeutic phlebotomies.

Hypogonadism and Hypothyroidism are connected. If I were you I would be addressing the thyroid.

The first few months of TRT I did self-inject. My doctor didn't know that the insurance was rejecting him until much later. Out of pocket it'll cost me an extra 100 USD a month. Barely getting by as it is. I'm looking into donating blood. It seems my ineligibility was less medication and more 'hating on the foreigners' according to some friends. I'm going to go in with a Japanese friend next time.

How should I approach the hypothyroidism? What, in your experience, is the protocol? Should my urologist do something about it? He can prescribe meds for it but like HRT he's not really in the loop as there aren't many with these issues or there are but people are staying untreated.

Why would self-injecting cost more? You do it yourself. You won't have to pay someone to do it for you.

You should see an endocrinologist about your thyroid. Urologists work below the belt. You can talk to your endo about your hypogonadism as well.

For arimidex, try starting at .25mg every 3.5 days.

Synon: I have a job. Being a Mod on 'Ology doesn't pay the bills. I can't be here 24/7 for you. Sorry.

I hope I didn't imply I wanted your answers right away...just wrote something short and sweet for those who didn't want to read through the whole thing. I appreciate ANY information coming at any time. Sorry if it came off differently. All your responses have been helpful!!

In Japan, bringing home your injections isn't allowed. You are allowed to bring home HCG, but not testosterone. Testosterone requires larger needles. Those needles are not legal to possess without authorization from a doctor. Even then, it's borderline legal. It was a law implemented to stop intravenous drug use. And...it worked. You would have thought needle sharing and re-using would have become a problem but apparently not. So, I would have to buy the testosterone from him, without insurance, and then get the needles from him (Free)...but the insurance won't pay for the testosterone. THUS, my seeking a good UGL...because that is legal.

I joined a thyroid forum to get more information on it. It's like starting all over like I was clueless at the beginning of my TRT research.

Adex should be in my hands today...what are the feeling I could/should expect? How long before things noticeably change? Can this have a positive affect on my anxiety?

Strange, you can't bring the test home because the worry bout the needles but if you buy the test you can bring home the needle and they are free annnnd its legal to import gear into the country, its legal!

How awesome and annoying that must be...... actually more awesome than annoying cause you can buy ugl stuff and not worry bout the law.

Good luck w your TRT bro!
