Legs (how many times a week)?

How many times a week should you work your legs out? I was thinking twice a week but I would rather just hit it hard once a week.
Is once a week good or is twice better?

I agree...You should only need to hit them once per week. Just make sure you do enough to stimulate growth...
 
2 or 3 in my case, but I dont go balls out. Only about 5 sets of certain % changes of my max.
 
Dude, if you want to go 1 day per week, by all means do it. I used to do 2 times/week, and I've gotten MUCH better results after I started doing each bodypart only 1x/week.
 
I agree totally with once a week. Training each body part one time per week with maximum intensity has proven to produce the greatest results for me. I have tried everything. Once a week is especially enough for legs if they are trained properly.
 
1x a week for me. Hell, it takes 3-4 days just for the soreness to subside.
 
i hit them twice a week because thats what my friend at the gym told me to do, im not sore after a leg day, but im sooo sore after the second leg day, which is legs/deadlifts. thats why i do that on friday.

then again i dont do squats, i just do leg curls, press, extensions, calves, and whatever else machines they have. i should maybe start doing squats?

i do legs once aweek but i do calves twice aweek because they dont respond as well as my upper thigh area.
 
I usually do them once a week,,,but due to a problem where i wasn't able to train my upper body, i did squats on monday, hack squats wednesday and leg press friday and found that they grew like living hell.

it depends on what your goals are. Most strenght traines are going to hit legs more than once a week, when most bodybuilders wont.
