After my testosterone levels coming in low on 3 blood tests, my doctor has prescribed me test cyp injections at 100mg per week. I am 34 years old, healthy other than the low testosterone. Have cycled steroids in the past but haven't used any in several years. My doctor said I am primary hypogonadal but my FSH, LH, Prolactin and everything else are in the normal range. Which seem contrary to what I have read. I am glad to be prescribed the testosterone but was thinking maybe I could try a restart instead. I'm not sure if this is even an option or if I would just be wasting my time.

I ask a similar question in another post but just got back my last results and filled my script. Thought the trt forum may be a better place to direct my question.

wbc 9.7
rbc 5.04
hemoglobin 14.3
hematocrit 52.4
test 321
lh 4.2
fsh 3.0
estradiol 17.8
psa .6

These are from the results I have on hand. I didn't ask for a copy of the first or third.
the first test level was 317 the third was 350 taken before 9 am.

It may be worth mentioning that I have my testosterone checked a few years ago and it was 310 but the doctor I was seeing at the time had not interest in addressing it. So my numbers have been low for a long time. This is why I'm not sure a restart would help.

You have Borderline Secondary Hypogonadism. You could try an HPTA Restart. Depending how long you have been in this state may impact your odds of success. But if it doesn't work you have TRT to fall back on so I don't see any reason to not give it a try.

Thanks for the reply. Can you recommend a protocol? I assume with clomid I will need to use an AI? Is HCG necessary?
