Looking to gain mass, test is just getting me shredded..

Hey, new here but looking for some experienced advice
I'm 5'9 170lbs and very very lean, I'm consuming 3500-4K calories a day
Recently went was doing 100mg test prop EOD for about 3 weeks and jumped to 500mg cyp because less pain and injections.
The problem I'm having is I'm loosing fat and just getting shredded,
Last time I took cups I blew up and retained a lot of water and size, used a diff company cyp and getting much different results

So should any suggestions on what test I can switch too for bulk,
I was drinking a half gallon of milk a day but cut it out to just drink water throuout the day during the cycle
I'm about 4 weeks into the cyp.
Any help is appreciated, if any other info is needed please let me know!

Can I find a diet consultant here or should I look for one at the gym,
I eat a lot of carbs but very clean. I think I'm eating too clean.
I'm also 22 so my metabolism is killer and my work can be labor instensive
I eat about 6 good sized meals a day.

At 7 I eat a banana, yogurt and 2 packets oatmeal
At 10 a granola bar and large pb&j
At 12 I eat lunch today was rice, chicken breast, yams, broccoli/colliflower and mac&cheese
At 2 I eat a lunch meat sandwich on a roll with wheat pretzels
I go home eat some leftover or snacks or yogurt
Dinner aroun6-8 some type of carb, rice/pasta and chicken breast
Very large protein shake after gym or before bed

Yes, 3J is the resident nutritionist here. What you listed isn't 4k cals either; I have a feeling that you're eating far less calories than you think.

3J has a few threads in the diet section with his site and information.
 
Thats a problem carbs are sugar. You you might as well be eating candy bars. Contact 3j in the diet forum. He has a great track record with the body building community.

The right type of Protein at the right time in the right amount is the only way to increase muscle mass. All thendrugs in the world wont put on muscle if you dont know how to eat to grow.

looking at that diet you'd be eating 2k max. If your work is labour intensive then chances are you're eating less calories than your TDEE...hence you're losing weight. Simple addition solves this one!
 
Its your diet. Your not eating the right thing and the right time in the right amount. Spend money ona diet consultant.

yup!!!! compounds do not dictate goals.. your diet does!!

if youre getting shredded its because youre not eating enough to grow..simple as that

You got guys that eat boiled chicken and steamed broccoli only, for weeks leading up to comp, this guys ovrr hear stuffing his face with mac n cheese. CMON BRUH.


Op: you want to gian weight? Eat 600 carbs a day. 150p. 100f. You get big..trust me.

And that's only 3900 cals

Just about all my food is boiled or steamed, along with chicken that's occasionally baked..
Any way to post pictures here,
Wrote a list of the foods I eat with the calories carbs and proteins and fat

I'll check out the thread on nutrition as soon as I'm off work

The whole idea of " eating clean " is based on bad science and just bad for you. Eat lots of fats and protein. Low carbs are good. Eat lost of organic vegies and leffy greens. If younwant to grow 2 grams a day per pound of weight 20 pounds more than uou are a day. Whey protein isolate first thing in the morning and post workout befor you leave the gym.

1. Yes you do eat a lot of carbs - but nowhere near enough protein!
2. No, you are not eating too clean.

Sign up with 3J, and you'll see in just a few minutes that you are not eating anywhere near enough to grow.
 
I'm a "hard gainer" too. I have to stuff my face all day long to grow. You're not even close to eating enough food in that diet you posted above. And you're not eating enough meals.

When I'm "bulking" I eat every 2hrs all day. 13hrs of eating and 11hrs off. That's 7 meals. I'm 6' 185 @ 10%BF. I put down a real deal 3600-3800cal/day. Every calorie counted. If I don't, I don't grow.

Make a quart of 1 cup of oat meal, peanut butter, protein powder, and bananas, add a few table spoons of mct or coconut oil for more calories.
But keep eating 5 or six whole food meals while drinking this EVERY day. It really helps to add good calories on the go. I used to add yogurt as well but yogurt can spoil. I do not use yogurt anymore after getting food poisoned by the yogurt spoiling in the fridge.

Saying things like Im a hard gainer is just stupid. The truth is you dont know what you are because you dont know how to eat. Most guys spend years perfecting theyree training and diet before even think of using steroids.

Dont dont take his advise seek a professional. Mct oil isnt used to gain weight. Its uset to burn fat.

Oatmeal is eaten for energy not protein synthysis.
