So the wife and I decided we want to try and have another child, I'm currently have been on doc prescribed test cyp for 1 1/2 yrs. I assuming that the cyp is lowering my sperm count. I have to check for sure before I do anything but during the consultation with the doc at the fertility clinic he suggested I stop with the test cyp and start on Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). my question is If take the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) with the cyp will my s count go up(if its low). I would like to do both cyp and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) for more results in the gym, ya know. Currently I take 250 mg per week of cyp. thanks guys:scratchhe

You need to be on Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) with your protocol along with an AI.

Look into Dr. Scally's regimen this will help with your count in a huge way.

Let me start by asking have you and the wife been trying without success?

Either way, get a current sperm count test. You really can not make any decisions until you have all the facts.

Btw, how old are you and your wife? There are many factors that play a part in fertility (hers and yours). There are many possible solutions for you to try without suspending your trt.

The wife and I are both 38 yrs old. The reason we are going to a clinic has to do with issues with her. We had a baby 4 yrs ago thru the same clinic after trying for years. Thank god my insurance covers it all 100%. So this time around we went right back to what works. Before I was not on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and my count was marginally low. I just submitted a sample so this afternoon I should have the results.

Not to jack this thread, but i got 2kids already and dont want anymore. If i stop taking Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) will that keep me from having to get my sack snipped???

antm264fish, GOOD LUCK to you bro!! Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is what is supposed to keep your boys swimming strong, some doc use it with their protocal some dont. All depends on how educated they are in Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) read some of the other threads you'll find out.....

Your count will likely be low. Most of the research indicates that 200 mg of Test per week will reduce the count to azoospermia levels in about 65% of the male population.

Before I started my Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), I had a very high count. On Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) with the use of HCG, my count dropped off to the lower end of the normal range.

As I already have two happy healthy boys, I made the choice to drop the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and see what happened. As expected, my levels dropped to near azoospermia levels.

Of course, that is fine by my wife and I as we don't want any more kids.

It depends on your level. It did work that way for me though!

so the results are in. 9mill is the count mobility is good. so I got the script for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) from the fertility doc 1500 iu 3 times a week. still have to talk to the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc. what do you guys think?

I think you'll need an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) w/ that much hcg.. But, I'm not sue if that will negatively affect your sperm count
