Max-OT

Wassup guys, I was just wondering what of all your personal opinions are on the Max-OT routine. I don't know if this was posted already, but as you can see I just recently started to come back to this forum after a long layoff (I never posted just gained knowledge). This routine got me stronger in almost every facet of training, but I'm not seeing any size gains despite a pretty good diet, with an adequete amount of protein. Thanks in advance.

max-ot focuses on heavy, basic movements. Its low volume training, so if you're doing the big lifts and not growing, you may need to re-evaluate other aspects of the game. (diet, rest, stress) Plus if you're natural gains dont come easy at all. I know natural guys who celebrate when they've gained 5lbs over the course of a year.

I used Max-OT for about 8 months straight. I found similar results. Initially, I got stronger but without any noticeable gains in size. I find my body does better with higher reps than 4-6 for size. I think it's great to go that low for periods of time but not all the time. I also noticed my joints took a beating going heavy all the time. There are other ways of overloading the muscles other than just using heavy weights.

Yeah, I agree sometimes it does get to be a bit much. That's why I was thinking of going maybe in the 6-8 rep range. I know that's not a drastic difference, but it should help my joints, since I don't take any glucosamine...
