What are some good brands (types) of meal replacement bars, for a filler in between meals. i work in an office 8-5, and dont really have time to eat as consistantly as needed. also, on the contrary, what are the bad bars to stay away from?
I like Balance and Zone bars. I use them as 'in betweeners' just to add extra calories and keep hunger at bay. I don't really care for the typical meal replacement bars as I prefer to consume the majority of my macronutrients from whole foods.

Cosigns! I went through the "protein bar" phase at one point and found the Zone bars to be by far the best tasting.. balance a close second. All the rest tasted like fucking tar. Although they were decent at plugging the holes on certain days, its easy to get carried away and start using them daily as meals. That is where they become crap. There is no replacement for good whole unprocessed food. Actually, the best results I've gotten were the times I buckled down and only ate whole foods throughout the day, no bars, no shakes.. all cals were from real whole food and my gains and cuts were awesome.
Do you have a microwave or even a fridge handy???
i few days removed...but yes, i do have both a fridge and microwave availble at work. lately i've been eating tuna straigh out of the can (with honey over it) about 3 times a day spread about an hour or so apart. i also have ~2 protein shakes while at work.

Well, then better yet.. take ur day off and cook up (bbq, bake, whatever) 3-5 lbs of chicken, boil a huge pot of real brown rice and buy some veggies (frozen is fine). Package it all up in tupperware and tote it to work. That's it bro.. it should last the work week. and for breakfast get up a little early and make egg white omletes w/low fat cheese. You can also cook up alot of lean ground beef, lean pork, etc.. and just feeze it to be warmed up at anytime.
