Mix and Match Cardio

Session

I am doing 3 days of HIIT and 3 days of lifting for cutting.

is it ok for my to do a light 10-15 min jog before my lifting workout. I only have time to workout in the mornings and at that time of the day I am groggy, tired and a light jog wakes me up, gets the blood flowing and motivates me to go on w/ the lifting. My question is, is that too much cardio in a week? Will that hurt my gains as for muscle jogging b4 lifting?

are you lifting and HIIT days separate? If they are and you plan on jogging 3 times a week with an additional 3 days of HIIT I personally think it is a bit much. I may have misunderstood though.

You should do some form of cardio before you lift for 10 minutes to warm up, so a light jog shouldn't hurt you unless your cardio capacity is shot. You'd cover a mile in that time and I don't think that's enough to hurt your gains.

How long are your HIIT sessions on non lifting days?

I don't think thats too much cardio. You're really only doing 3 sessions a week. The 10 minute warmup before you lift isn't a big deal.

Personally, when I'm cutting I do 6 seperate cardio session in addition to my lifting.
