morning hunger

hey,

what the hell can i do to increase my hunger in the morning. when i wake up i plan on eating 2 eggs, 4 egg whites, 2 slices of whole wheat, some oats and glasss of milk.

but when i get into the kitchen all that i can stomach is a small yogurt and maybe a class of milk (about 700 calories shy of my target :rolleyes: )

the rest of the day i am fine for appetite, its just the mornings. ive tried premaking my food for the morning, hoping it was just me being lazy in the morning, but still not even hungry.
 
At first it may be difficult but once it becomes habit you will wake up starving. Try taking a multivitamin and a large glass of water just before bed, this may help a bit. Your choice of breakfast food sounds good now all you have to do is actually eat that food.
 
Takes time to get accustomed to eating in the mornings. Ive never been a big eater first thing in the morning. If you cant stomach the food, make a shake in milk and eat a bowl of cereal. (Frosty's gonna flip when he reads that...but lets be real here, it aint gonna kill you frosty)
 
get up earlier say a half hour earlier so your body has time to adjust to waking up and then by the time you plan on eating that first meal you will be hungry

I am like that too cant eat as soon as I get up, and fuck this my body will get used to it shit, I am 35 years old and have never gotten used to it.

ya know I dont want to start another flame fest but what the hell is up with the frosty is gonna flip comments stuff...like he is the resident guru here when in reality ther are people on this site who are miles ahead in knowledge and dont act like fucking food nazis because someone gave in and had a pop tart instead of a bowl of bean sprouts

trying not to make this attack and all but personally I would not follow blindly anything anyone types on a keyboard on the internet regardless of what thier knowlwdge may or may not be

I'm exactly the same, dont feel like eating anything..

I find that I can drink ok, so have two whole eggs and 4 egg whites in a blender, 1 pint of milk and a scoop of ice cream (for taste) + milk powder (usually 3 table spoons) Mix it all up and its good to go.. (Cant even taste the eggs and very easy to drink - just like a regular milkshake). Plus it only takes 2 minutes to make.
 
I also have problems eating first thing before work. I usually make a high calorie protein drink and follow up with a solid food meal when I get to work.

Getting up earlier is an excellent suggestion, Milly. I can't get up and eat right away either. Have to ease into the day. About an hour after I get up I'll feel like eating.
 
I get up a half hour earlier then expected, that way my body can adjust to being up, and then hunger sets in..

I just go right to the Vector cereal with strawberry in addition..

Because that dude will flip, thats whats up with the comment.

I dont conider him any more valuable to this board than anyone else, but the dude starts in with the crap so quick its rediculous (go back to some of the cereal threads).

is it safe to drink raw eggs?
what about salmonilla (sp?) ?
 
The problem lies in your philosophy of food and eating. You have to treat eating like a pleasure not a chore. The idea of downing raw eggs sounds gross to me, but I actually love good food and that is the only way to be able to eat enough to gain muscle mass. You have to consume food that is enjoyable to eat otherwise bulking is a chore. Bulking up and being able to eat more has to be fun, otherwise it is too difficult to see any results. Eat what you want in the morning, and you will have better luck with developing a morning appetite.
 
I have been drinking raw eggs for more than 3 years (not continuously) and never had a problem with them... Not once!

I know that there is the risk of Salmonilla but it is extreamly small and to my understanding is only a fatal risk to the old and young. I would switch to a protien shake (pre packaged powder) if it were available to me, but its not, so i have to make to with what I can.. And its alot cheaper..
I would say that I have even gone as high as 10 egg whites a day uncooked, not even an upset stomach. And there is no taste what so ever if you dont use the Yolk...

im not at all worried about the egg whites becuase mine are pasturized, its the WHOLE eggs the scare me. I think im gonna try: egg whites, a little ice cream, protein powder and milk....then a whole wheat bagel.
 
man i'm eating so fucken wrong before bed that it gets rediculous sometimes. Got those nightsweats going and the heartburn oh my god the heartburn.

What Morb said is totally true for me as well....

Try having some fruit like a green apple or some oranges then wait 30 minutes.....ull be hungry.
 
There is no problem in eating raw eggs but you are no getting maximum absorption. The protein will only be about 50% absorbed and there is the risk of a biotin deficiency.
Salmonella is approx 1 in 30,000 chance but reduced by washing the egg and storing in the fridge.
It may not be fatal but iam sure you wont appreciate it when you lose up to 2 stone of lean mass
 
How does Denature in protein occur when its cooked then? thats sounds silly to think that you only get half digestion. If your body digests some, then theoretically it should digest as much as it wants during that time. The only way you block protein from being absorbed is if your using dairy possibly. Other than that it you should being using up most of those egg whites.
