Muscle gain yes....Weight no

Is there anyone else here that can agree with me.

i been lifting for about 2 years now, have been doing pretty well with dieting and lifting each muscle group once and week, but the thing is i put on more mass then when i started but im not that much heavier.....my workout partner is my height and about 15 piounds heavier yet iam obviously bigger...does anyone else get this at all?

5'9 170 lbs.......no more then 7%
 
EAT. Lots of protein....300 grams/day or more. Lots of complex carbs. More calories. Eat right and you will grow. With only 7% bodyfat left, your body will really start to resist giving you muscle mass gains without more calories.

I know what you mean. I weigh the exact same weight as I did one year ago but my body composition is much better this year. You have likely gained weight and lost fat as mentioned above.
