Muscle Wasting Illness

You're welcome but I'm confused as to what your goal is here bro. You keep using the word "cycle" when in fact the amount you've mentioned you want to use is nowhere close to a cycle. I was under the impression you were just looking to preserve lean muscle mass due to a medical condition. If you are looking to do a true cycle, then you need to definitely eat and take in a lot of calories... and then you can think about what you want to run. If I heard you correctly, you were very underweight so stacking a bunch of stuff isn't really going to do a whole lot for you. Gear doesn't magically put mass on you if you aren't getting enough calories to grow. I guess you need to clarify what exactly you are trying to accomplish and you will get some better feedback.

Hey your right and I apologize for the confusion. by cycle I just simply mean the 10 or 12 weeks the doc has agreed to run deca for .I just wanted to learn some lingo to respect that you guys are here to help and the least I could do is a little research to know what I'm talking about. Obviously I still have a lot to learn. I'm also overwhelmed at times because there is still a good bit of confusion about my diagnosis.
What I know so far is my doc is willing to try this deca "cycle" and I realize its not magic but it sure feels pretty close to me, after all I've been through at the very least even a temporary fix will make me feel better for a while.
I certainley appreciate your patience. Thanks!

I disagree with just telling this guy to do this or that. He hasn't really shared a whole lot about what he's trying to accomplish. If all he's trying to do is preserve lean body mass, Deca is better than test. Would any of us run Deca alone, no, probably not but have people done it, yes and those people are on these boards. There are too many unanswered questions here to give any real solid advice to this guy. I don't see test doing a whole lot for him if he's not really doing any type of working out at all. On the other hand, Deca is used for patients with muscle wasting issues and has been proven to work for that specifically. Again, too many unanswered questions as to what he's trying to accomplish.

Are you trying to gain any mass by working out or just preserve what you got?

I've been through months of testing you name it they tested me for it
its not even an official diagnosis but they think they have it narrowed down to a rare virus this is where it gets difficult its a virus simmaler to the hiv virus its affected me nueurologicly as well as muscular atrophy and really affects my appetite but I do have most days pretty good a few extra pounds of lbm would do wonders for my phsyce.

I would be very hesitant to use any drug without knowing exactly what disease your dealing with. HIV will attack the immune system - so your saying the virus you have is similar in it's destruction of the neurological system? What are your symptoms, have you had any immunizations in the past 6 months, any rabies shots, fevers, lesions, blurred vision, measles, mumps, rubella and primary varicella-zoster virus'??

Just because he has normal test levels doesnt mean a low dose (250 mg) wouldnt work for him..

Please explain to me how taking a male with a normal test level and then replacing his natural test with a synthetic test and remotely the same level is possibly a good choice?

You're right on. Bodymingle isn't really thinking this through when he's posting. There are a lot of unanswered questions here that need to be brought to light before any real solid advice on what to take and or do can be given.

No worries friend, the board is here to help people out and guide people as best it can. Never hesitate to ask for help. Just be careful of what you listen to.

Untill you know exactly whats up I wouldnt do a thing! Obviously sound's quite serious. Plus, what you are asking about is short term. You cant or wouldn't want stay on roids long term. I would keep working out but leave the gear until you know exactly what's going on. You dont want to risk your health further by going on roids for the rest of your life.

250mg is quite a bit more than what you naturally produce.

What am i not thinking about? He is underweight due to a "muscle wasting illness" that he can't name, and wants to run a cycle. If you can't see right through this, take another look. My point is deca alone or deca at 100 mg/wk like he proposed should have been shot down from the start. He wants to run a simple cycle, i said go with test, a low dose 300mg a wk, which is low but considerably higher than natural levels, and would yield good results for a first time user.

You either can't read or choose not to. He said himself he wasn't looking to do a real cycle and that he was simply looking to preserve what little lean mass he has. He also said he doesn't really do much working out. So please tell me how Test is going to fix this for someone who is underweight and does little to no working out? Deca at low enough doses wouldn't hurt him and would provide much more benefit to him than test would (nitrogen retention in muscles). Just telling him to run a cycle of Test for 10 weeks would solve nothing in my opinion. 300mg a week would yield good results for someone bodybuilding perhaps but for someone simply looking to preserve muscle mass, there are far better options. Primobolon would even be way better than Test would be.

Go read some of his later posts, he says he doesnt want to be on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or HRT, he says a Cycle. He could take 300mg of test a week and gain 5-10 lbs without working out.

He says it right here. He really didn't mean cycle. Also, gaining 5-10 lbs of water by doing no working out is not his goal here. His goal is to preserve lean mass. If you can see where he disputes that as his goal, please point it out.
