I have just started a new back routine using 5x5 barbell rows. My middle traps are fucking toasted from their workout yesterday. I fucked my L5/S1 disc a while back and have really only just started to train with any decent sort of load over the past few months.
I gotta confess that i have only just started doing deadlifts over the past few months too. I was pretty tentative with trying them due to my lower back injury, but since I have included them in my work out, my back has felt the best it has in years. I hit 5x 140kg yesterday and was totally stoked. I am aiming to hit 160 by the end of the year
back routine looks like this
5x5 barbell row
2x12 seated cable row
2x12 hammer high row ( same as close grip pull down)
5x5 deadlift
