I wouldn't mind a suggestion either. I had surgery for 2 herniated discs last year, and I'm still trying to rehab from that. I've tried the ab machine at my gym, but it puts stress on my lower back.
i have a sim prob but my gym has a hammer strength seated ab machine with a back rest. works very well. i do it after squats, deads or a heavy posterior core movement and it actually losens my back up.
2 sets of 20 couple times a week and they are smoked.
everyone needs to a be doing ab work for the increased torso strength. this helps with squats and deads.
I couldn't open the page up. I wish I could find an exercise that helps the ab's cause what Pbig said above is very true about ab work makin your deads and squats stronger.
stand at the cable pull down (like doing cable pushdowns). face away from it. use the rope handle. pull the rope on either side of your neck. crunch down and hold it for a long predetermined count.
