Need direction on a good diuretic

Hey guys I am holding a lot of water was taking Triamterene-Hctz but the problem is when i stopped taking it i blew up with water weight...maybe 20 pounds.

Why? You shouldn't take a duirietic to just take a diuretic. If you're competing or prescribed it?

Hows your diet? That may be the issue with holding water
