I work a 3rd shift job and my work is very strenuous. So I like to lift when I get home at night, so I dont overstress my muscles throughout the day. I eat 8 egg whites, 2 cups oatmeal, glutamine and an apple when i get home, then I lift. Afterwards I usually will just drink 2 scoops of whey, and some wheat or rice, oats whatever to get my carbs in, then im off to bed. So im kinda questioning if maybe I should eat more when im done lifting, but Im not hungry because i just ate pre workout. Should i switch my meals around here or is this ok? Also Im not on cyle, so my muscles are not so forgiving as some here. Appreciate any advice, thanks.

just trying to maintain without the roids. I know this last meal isnt perfect because im eating a bunch of carbs right before bedtime.

but your body is using the carbs to refuel/repair after the workout. Dont worry about eating carbs before bed if its PWO.

If your workouts are intense then the carbs you eat will be used to replenish muscle glycogen and are NEEDED whether or not you go to sleep right away. Post-Workout nutrition is the most important part of the day to jumpstart your recovery and to push the body into an anabolic state.

The only problem I see is that you are eating such a quick digesting protein directly before going to sleep. You need some quick acting whey after your workouts but also don't forget that you'll be without any food for the next 8 hours or so.
