Need help gaining weight!!!!

29 5'7 145lbs and I'm very active it's hard for me to gain weight I've been the same weight since I was 18. Any suggestions?
 
If your stomach stops hurting it's time to eat more.

What are you doing that's so active? Running, biking? Cut that shit out. Lift heavy, sleep a lot, eat. A lot.

Bulking diets are maybe harder than cutting diets. I get to the point of fantasizing about just not eating for a while and I'm by no means a "hardgainer".

Pop Tarts and peanut butter: just keep that going between real meals. Make it hurt. Watch the magic happen.
 
I move furniture for a living and I lift and run all day. I hit the gym 6 out of 7 days and I go heavy I'm 145 lbs and my max bench is 245lbs I'm strong by all means bu I just can't gain I want to be 165 170 suggestions on how many more calories I should be taking in I'm at 2500-3000 now but it's like I burn most of that at work!??
 
its simply eating more than you burn.Eat calorie dense foods like PB, whole milk, rice, beef/steak, potatoes, pasta, fatty fish, etc
 
Should I eat small portions through out the day or should I eat a lot only a few times a day? Because for the most part I'm a big eater but I only eat maybe three times a day...
 
If you neither gain nor lose weight, you should be able to add a couple of weight gainer shakes and pick up some lbs. I used to mix my weight gainer shakes with PB, ice cream, whole milk, salmon--wait, maybe not salmon, but you get the point. Now before I get destroyed for saying any of this, I would like for everyone to know that this way is NOT OPTIMAL. Whole foods are best, but for anyone who is busy as hell, and barely finding the time to breathe, shakes help.

Any weight gain shake will do. This is my recipe that had me on the treadmill within 3 months: However many scoops of that sugar garbage you bought, whole milk, scoop of ice cream and 1 scoop of whey protein, tablespoon of PB. Ideally, the calories/grams break down like so: carbs-600/150, fat-360/40, protein-300/75. Grand total of 1260 cal. Best if you split it in two. Best if consumed right before bed.

If total calories and macros are the same it won't matter. Whichever is more convenient. I flip flop between the two all the time depending on my schedule for the day

Oh boy. When I read that I just get tempted to go nuts on the junk food! haha. I am not shy about eating stuff like a pop tart but I try to keep it limited. Just trying not to get too much stomach fat. But bottom line is if you wanna bulk ya gotta eat and if you eat a box of pop tazarts a day you will put on weight. As long as you eat 6 solid meals a day tho.
Cant get that last chix breast down??? Put it in the blender with some water and chug a lug!
