Ok I saw my new trt doctor the other day and showed him my labs from quest labs.

testosterone total -581 the normal range on the paper says 250-1100 is normal range

testosterone free- 91.8 normal range is 46-224

testosterone bioavailable-232.7 normal range is 110-575

sex hormone binding globulin-25 normal range is 10-50

I was told the dr's goal was to get my bioavailable to at least 400 which is almost double what it is. So would my new dr just double my test injections to 400mg a week to do that? Also which one of the test levels is the most important for sex drive and building muscle? Not looking for links just wondering if anybody who actually understands this stuff can dumb it down for me!

Any help much appreciated!!!

Typically we look at Total Testosterone. 600 is a good number. Right about average for a 30 year old. I definitely would not begin TRT if I had your numbers. How's that for dumbing it down? :-)

lol thanks i'm not beginning iv'e been on it for 2 1/2 years I turn 28 dec 12th.

Well that's different! I should have paid attention to the part about doubling your injection. Sorry... It is getting late.

So on 200mg per week are you using an AI? Are you pinning twice a week? That will impact my answer.

lol iv'e had to triple check the stuff I posted to make sure it made sense! I am on 1 mg of armidex a day, just once a week for now it is going to take a few more visits before he has me where he wants my levels at to start doing home injections.

Ok. Got it now.

That is a LOT of adex! Hopefully your E2 numbers are looking good. I am sure you have posted them before -- I just can't recall them and I am too lazy to look them up. Are you certain you are taking 1mg of adex a day?

What is your height, weight and approximate body fat %?

Here's what I think. Rather than upping your dose at this point, I think you need to inject twice a week and hopefully that will help you reduce the amount of adex you are taking. It will even out your TT levels as well. Have you measured your peak TT before? I am guessing you have quite the range between injections. After this change you could check your numbers again and see where it puts you. As for dose, I have never seen a person on doctor prescribed TRT go over 250mg/week for a prolonged period if time.

And sorry if I have asked you this before, but are your thyroid numbers in line?

stats: height 5'11 weight 168 body fat not sure, top of my abs pop out and in the process of getting a diet plan from 3j.

I am 100% sure I am 1mg a day which from what I read is bout 3-4 times standard dose, cost me 5 bucks for 30 pills with my insurance. I do plan on doing bi-weekly injections when me and my dr decide to meet in the middle of what I want and what he wants. My e2 levels are great actually "not to low and sure are not on the high side". All my levels are in check including thyroid. I have not been tested at my peak, I have always been tested the last day before injection. The highest I have seen prescribed is 300 mg a week. I have been doing a lot of thinking about 400 mg a week. I'm already far past shut down so might as well make the best of it!!! I tend to forget about that sometimes.

Assuming everything was checked every 3 months and all levels remained in check just having really high test. I would love to try it!

You seem like the last guy on the world that should be a heavy aromatizer.

To read about all the advantages (and con's) of supra physiological testosterone levels you just have to jump over to the AAS section of the forums. Running that high for the rest of your life though would likely take its toll on your body.
